I would offer that confidence is an important thing these days and when yours is shot you're going to go backwards

The only positive so far is trying MRJ in the middle. Good for his development IMHO

Half-time

Richmond    1.5     2.8-20
Port Melb.    1.3     5.6-36

Goal: Bradtke, Melville.

Embarrassing! Clueless and skill-less. We are set up trying to play dry weather footy in the wet. That's on the coach as much as the dopey players.

He's gone from being close to bog in the first half of an AFL final in only his 6th game to being unable to hit the side of barn and scared of his own shadow at VFL level... :huh

Interrupted preseason. Hardly trained for most of it. Not the only Tiger either in hindsight. Last preseason was horrendous.

Need a new VFL coach as well.... :shh

Agree

His confidence is shot

And I also wonder what his role is exactly. Seems to change weekly. Inside, outside, wing.... I'm surprised Morris hasn't plonked him at either FF or FB

Stats to HT:

Sonsie  17 disposals
Brown  11
Biggie  11
Hugo   11
Green   9
Ryan    9
Trezise 7
Banks 6
M.Rioli 5
Bradtke 2
Campbell 1

Disposals:   181 - 198  .... ( 83 - 110 in the 2nd qtr )
Marks:         25 - 35 .... have to hit targets as well as catch the ball to get a mark  ::).
Clearances:  23 - 21
Inside 50s:   26 - 30  .... ( 9 - 23 in the 2nd qtr )
Tackles:       39 - 24
Hitouts:        23 - 17
Frees:          17 - 9

We can't complain about the umps though. Borough players sticking to the K.I.S.S. principle in the wet and playing in front across the ground. It's not hard to understand except for our clueless players.

Is Slippery even coaching the side or just winging it?

Bradtke won't be a Punt Rd next year. Just stands there and doesn't work off the ball.

Yep.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
