ST Kilda and Richmond will engage in talks tomorrow about a potential trade up to Pick 8, Saint Kilda want 3 selections tomorrow night.

Richmond won’t pull the pin until around pick 6 or 7, if a player that they love drops.

Nek minit they finish top 4 again and after all the academy picks next year that F1 slides out to nearly 30 in a shallower draft. Yeah nah. Last club I'd be trading future picks with. Hopefully just yet another miss from that silly season dart chucking X flog.

If history is anything to go by, we need to guess which one of this year's top 4 clubs to trade with. Every year at least one top 4 club tumbles out of the Eight the following year.

So which club out of Brisbane, Sydney, Geelong and Port will flop next year?

Port the most likely.
Will the Lions have a premiership hangover?
Will the Swans have mental scars again after another GF belting?
The Cats probably the least likely based on the past 20 years as much as it would be fun to see them finally fall off the cliff.

It doesn’t matter who proposes it first. Both clubs must win and give ground.

While I don’t like it at all, I can understand why clubs don’t use pick 1 to bid on academy/father-son prospects and rather give their own player the ‘prestige’ of being that pick. But seriously, if clubs aren’t bidding on Ashcroft at pick 2 then they’ve got no1 but themselves to blame about all the issues about draft fairness.

I appreciate that Ashcroft is a talent but I have no issue with Clubs not going with him as their 1st pick and forcing Brisbane to match.

Kid lost me a month back when he said he wanted to the number 1 pick, expected to be number 1 because he was the best kid in this draft. On tonight's news he said it isn't important to him as other players like Nick Daicos and his brother hadn't gone number 1 but were the best player in their draft year 

Now I have no problem with a kid with a bit of self-confidence but there's self-confidence and then there’s arrogance.  Unfortunately,  Young Levi just comes across as an arrogant brat
