Gray has been there for three minutes

Won’t say this one is as “Magic” as some of the others

Bombers had a few soft tissue injuries early in the season

Injury Report: Round 17, 2024
Get the latest injury update ahead of Richmond's Round 17 match against Fremantle.

By Richmond Media

Mid-season draftee Campbell Gray will be unavailable for the next eight weeks after suffering a significant hamstring injury in the late stages of Sunday's VFL win over Carlton.

It is unfortunate news for the Tigers and Gray, after the tall forward put in a best on ground performance with four goals, 14 disposals and five marks against the Blues on the weekend.

The injury will almost certainly rule the 21-year-old out for the remainder of the home and away season.

Richmond’s VFL team currently sits ninth with a 7-5 record. The top 10 teams get a chance for the Wildcard and Finals Series at the state level.

In other injury news, Dustin Martin (back soreness) will be further monitored throughout the week before a call is made on his availability for the trip to Perth.

Dion Prestia, Samson Ryan and Jacob Bauer are all tracking towards being available for Round 18, with Bauer suffering a rib injury in the third quarter of the weekend’s VFL match.

Tom Lynch (hamstring) is one-to-two weeks away from a return.

Seeing Gray's injury happened near the end of the VFL match, I don't think not being warmed up has anything to do with it

I'd say it underlines it - goes through his ammo career & all his time with the Bumblers in the VFL  without an injury....then only 3 weeks under Lukey Pookey and bang.... :shh

When Tom Lynch first did his hammy (1st game back) they said it was minor and he'd miss 1 or 2 weeks.

Now it's blown out 2-3 weeks

Which means one of 2 things if not both

1/ itvwas worsecthan they what they originally said or...

2/ in the rehab process it has got worse...

If it is 2 then that is a disgrace and the should cost the entire fitness team their jobs. Not just the boss of it all of them

People have whacked me on here for supposedly supporting Meehan. All I have ever done is refused to blame him for things out of his control.

This Lynch situation is what I hold him responsible for and want him held to account by the Club for. This is what he should be whacked for.

He has to go

The problem with that part of your post WP is that they’ve already made way more than enough mistakes to move them all on. Like I said, I was at the hawks game. My friend saw Lynch in the medical rooms at half time, he was the last one out of the race and subsequently played out the game. Lo and behold he will now have missed 4-5 weeks since the game due to an injury. Imagine, making a conscious decision to let lynch of all players back onto the ground, after reporting soreness/injury at half time….

Key point in my post was for the first time I said "the entire fitness team" not just the bloke in charge. Up until this point I've been wanting the dept reviewed and the head of itv(Meehan) moved on. Now I want them all gone

Ross now 8 weeks into his 6-8 week injury.

Think we deserve better than the pitiful information we are getting as paid members.

It was originally a 10-12 week injury but get your point

Clearly and I don't know why they don't just say it but it's not healing they way they hoped.

The other week in the Club XIII room at half-time (think it was Dreamtime) he was still in a moon boot. They did ask him but sadly couldn't hear his answer because as usual too many of my fellow members were talking over him  :banghead

Not hard to give a proper update

P6 it said 8 weeks on 16/4.

It's been 8 and he's still yonks away.

Some clarity directly from the club would be the expectation.

Now 13 weeks into his 8 week injury, with just 2-3 weeks to go. So looking at 15-16 weeks.

May as well ice hin for the effing year.

Lynch too.
