Not unhappy with any of the omissions but lmao @them all being either new players or kids. Yze still too scared to make a real statement and drop some of the clearly past it and underperforming premiership heroes...so much for not dwelling on past glories. :shh

He’s not the one I am thinking of.
I am starting to wonder if Yze is a bit of a puppet for those who have been there for a while.
There’s 3 premiership players whom are not doing enough and have zero upside….
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Judging by Yze’s presser today we are basically giving a bunch of players the farewell tour and blooding young talent along the way. This is a team that’s trying to win, not rebuild and then other weeks we might have a bunch of the older guys sitting out. I suspect by halfway through the season we will be seeing a lot more of the younger guys playing ( hopefully )

I think the mix of old vs new is right. You can’t have too many new faces in a new system or it collapses.

Backline we have young and gibcus, mid we have dow and technically baker because he’s playing more mid?

Forward we have Campbell and Balta (not a seasoned forward)

They need to slot with our other players for them to grow in their positions

Yep that's what I took out of the presser as well

Just relieved we've addressed the top heaviness that was part of our 1st half downfall

You don't do farewell tours unless it's for blokes that still have a role that a young bloke can't fill eg Jack Riewoldt.

Absolutely disgraceful some of these blokes are playing seniors tomorrow

If you get down to the nitty gritty its not as though there are players banging on the door to get into seniors. Hopefully in a couple of weeks there are, but not atm.

Yep looks like Balta will play 2nd ruck, as long as Lynch is in.

Cumberland completely decimated Collingwood in the 2nd half of the VFL game the other week and I just witnessed Pickett look like a lost puppy while playing forward yet again. Like what's the point?

Senior players with no future played shockers worthy of being omitted. Kids who may have a future should get a look in over a few of them
