This is the perrrrfect game to get a win. Get one of if not our last wins for the year and end the pies season at the same time.

Yep
We can allow one more win providing we are smart against the Roos

Just finished second or third last, we’re going to get a top prospect one way or the other.

Remember the demons took trengrove and Scully with picks 1 and 2 and we took someone by the name of Dustin Martin at 3. The rest as they say is history.

Let’s just get pick 1 for November and December for an uncontracted player and not compare ourselves to the Demons rabble

Meaningless wins in August when your 18th are dumb if they cost you draft order.

If we blow pick 1 from this position heads roll.

Pick 1 and 19 vs Pick 2 and 20. Plus first pick in Pre Season and Rookie Draft. Pointless beating a crap Collingwood for bragging rights. Our bragging rights are the 3 flags we have just won. Couldn't care less about a win on Sunday. I'll die on the hill for ensuring we get Pick 1.
Go Tigers!

How many no.1 draft picks actually end up being the best player from the draft?

I just did a quick recap from 2010 onwards and honestly other than last year with Harley Reid I don’t think you’d take any of the pick 1s at pick if you were to redraft it. You could make an argument for a couple more but history definitely suggests pick 1 doesn’t get you the best player.

Only if your recruiters get it wrong, I don’t have a lot of confidence in our recruitment ,
but I think it’s a smart move playing Jagger in the twos and as a kid  against me gets 31 possessions , mounting a strong argument .

Agreed.

No idea why anyone wants a win here.

Just hurting the club in the medium term future.

Why not win ?

Lose every other game and still finish last

Spot on Damo. Great opportunity to sucker punch the Pies while they are on their knees. Bring the endeavour displayed vs the Crows and we are a sneaky chance.

And if the Roos decide to tank vs us?

Winning vs Pies means we are depending on them to beat us to secure the spoon.

I'd rather just keep getting game time into kids, experient with some positional changes, and guarantee a stronger draft hand with all list opportunities (rookie, PSD etc).

More likely we'll just play the Filth back into form... :shh
