I’d go for anyone 23-26 years old as that’s the age demographic we look like is going to be a gap. It’s not a huge priority right now but will be in 2-3 years.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Jack Macrae for peanuts sounds good to me. What do we give up?

Happy for Rioli Bolton  Baker and Graham  to go because we are not playing finals even if they stay. Whats the point of a mid table finishnext year and we dont have a shedload of top 20 picks.

These blokes going at this point in time is perfect for us we should thank them. There is only one proviso it will be very painful if we do not get our picks right  2004 all over again.

Their curency at their age is only going to decline and we are with or without them going to have low finishes for the next 3 or 4 seasons
.

bingo

but no thanks on macrae
Great bloke good player but will stop development, pass

Always thought he wasn't an overly damaging player IMO, just an accumulator.

Also very much out of our demographic need.

Strong stance from @Richmond_FC legend @KevinBartlett29 in wanting to see the club hold Shai Bolton & Daniel Rioli to their contracts

Love KB but he also wanted Dusty suspended for 12 months over "chopstickgate".....part of the old (Graeme) Richmond mentality that kept us in the shytter for the best part of four decades... :shh

I know it might not seem to be the case now but with a little luck and a lot of shrewd recruiting, this draft could well be the start of our next era.
Let the Swans and Cats eat their finals cake.
I would rather have mine in premiership layers.  :shh
