So a bar tender ratted them out at a private function over costumes they were wearing

Seriously the AFL is such a stuffed up virtual signalling organisation it makes me sick

Dressed up as and did sketches about Jared Hayne, Diddy, 9/11 & Django Unchained (participated in by a black player and with the approval of other black players) in a private function. :police:

No, apparently someone dressed as Diddy too

And although I understand people saying it was a private function, it was function paid for by the Club and Club officials were there before the skits. Skits happened after they left

And I don't care what people think the Jared Hayne dress up and skit was disgraceful. Don't hide behind his conviction being quashed on a legal technicality. 3 court cases and found guilty twice. Trying to make a joke of it is pathetic

Bartender is the biggest disgrace of a human I've ever heard of. If there's such a problem with what you saw, say something at the time or walk out. Don't document at all as some traumatising experience and then be a rat.

Serious question because I'm a bit confused

Are people just peeved at the bartender and condone the GWS players' behaviour?

Peeved at the bartender and condemn their behaviour?

Peeved at the bartender and don't give a rats what the player's did?

Both. More so at the bartender and the behavior was weird but it was private so that's all there is to it IMO.

I can't stand rats.

Was it really private though?

The Club paid for it, so under AFL rules whether people like them or not it wasn't a private function

If the bartender had reported as it happened would there be the same angst?

I'm peeved at the AFL for what I think is an overreaction and a sporting body working outside its scope.

If it's not a police issue it shouldn't be the AFL's issue to control behaviour and force moral standards onto large groups.
