Our skills by hand and foot are substandard especially by hand. I don't think I've seen a handpass that's hit anyone's chest.
It doesn't help that we have a coach who wants us to handball more than kick.

Terrible quarter by McKenzie. Only touched it a couple of times and hasn't hit anyone except once. She needs to get more involved because what's she's doing isn't working at all.

Quarter time

Richmond   0.1-1
Hawthorn   0.2-2

A lesson in how to waste the breeze :facepalm.

When we play the top sides our cluelessness gets exposed.

11 marks to 5 is an indication of the difference in ball movement and style.

The Hawks are more pinpoint and lower the eyes to look for a teammate that has worked hard to find space.

Our girls, on the other hand, aren't willing to work as hard off the ball to find space and create an option and it's just a kick and hope situation.

They'll want to be better in the second quarter without the breeze.

True but Ferguson doesn't want us to play that way either. He wants us to run the ball by linking up by hand. Problem is it puts us under pressure when it's not the right option and we stuff up.

Better play with Graham by foot to Kelly to Brennan to Dempsey. But Dempsey misses.

We get it back from the kick in and Shevlin goals  :gotigers

Rich  1.2-8
Haw  0.3-3

I thought the girls did a much better job that quarter with ball movement and transition but unfortunately not all the girls have the skills necessary to finish some good work already done.

McKenzie was much better that quarter. Shevlin has been busy. Conti is always a star. Seymour and miller have been pretty good in defence.

Brennan really needs to step up as captain.

Greiser is wasting the opportunity
