Pass mark for 2025?

RICHMOND

Pass mark: Win four games

The Tigers managed just two wins from 23 last season, and to make matters more difficult heading into next season, key contributors Shai Bolton, Daniel Rioli, Liam Baker and Jack Graham departed for rival clubs in the off-season, while Dustin Martin and Dylan Grimes were among the retirees. Richmond will see an influx of highly talented youth arrive at the draft, but winning two more games on top of this year’s meagre tally will be a challenge. However, in senior coach Adem Yze’s second year in charge, improvement needs to be seen from a game-plan perspective — and with a host of players set to return from season-ending 2024 injuries, there will be more assets at Yze’s disposal next year, making a four-win total an appropriate ask.

Stick more tackles kick more goals but still get the top draft pick. :shh

Then and this is just my opinion  ;) I think you might be disappointed

I see us winning at least 6 games

Why? We are going to get an incredibly soft draw. With the youth coming through, they bring enthusiasm that IMHO will filter through the group.. so based on that I reckon we will get off to a fast start, struggle in the middle and finish with a flourish

This but I agree with WP, we might win more game next year than we do 2 years later so I’ll add find a way to get multiple top 10 picks and start in earnest the work required to land free agency players for 2026
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

The establishment of a cohesive tight knit focussed group with Yze becoming the strong enabling coach

Not looking at games won.

Just want to see a handful of draftees get a handful of two of games.

See some junior guys stand up and solidify a spot in the 23.

Have an improved injury and recovery run.

Along with recruitment , development is the most important skill we need at the club

Hopefully north trade is their future 1st, finish last and then we get pick 1 anyway. Win-win, well except for north lol

This is the bit that. Worried me in 2024
I couldn’t see much  of a game plan at all.
What I did see was some really awful stuff at times eg kicking short on the backline

Whoever the next coach is, will be set to dominate

I actually think we saw what the gameplan should be. Those short kicks were to try and generate a switch to the open side

But it requires excellent foot skills which so many of our players don't have.

In part our old game style workwd because it was based on chaos in moving the ball forward didn't rely on as much on good skills by foot

Well Yze won't have any excuses with this draft hand he will pick the players he wants. If he wants kickers he will get skilled kicks. I think it's still a collision based game though that may change due to concussion rules. It may turn into chasey like it was in the long distant past.
