Balta would be a waste on the wing. We need his intercept marking down back. Besides, he has no tank.
Put Miller on the wing, can’t be worse thank KMac, can also give a contest down the line coming out from d50 which is a disaster for us
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

In theory you wouldn't need his marking if Trainor can have a quick impact as he should given he is new-Rance.

Gibcus is due some luck and there might be someone else pop up like the big bloke that won the time trail. Vlastuin and broad should be around for a bit too.

There are other options too like fawcett etc.

Balta wouldn't be the perfect wingman but he certainly has enough attributes to cause headaches for the other team.

Miller needs to keep improving if he wants senior football

Baltas biggest weakness imo is his footy iq. He took up the sport quite late and it’s very clear that he is not a natural footballer albeit one with outstanding athleticism.

Continuously moving his position does not help in this regard. It’s clear his best position is as a key position defender. Let the experimentation end and keep him down there for good I say.

Amen.

Quit moving him around.

I'd rather see what Clinton King is up than play Miller on the wing. We've just drafted a bunch of good kids. Let's play them

Miller's a utility and loose defender. Should never be the bloke standing on the KPFs, just gets lost and is completely useless at one on one aerial defence. Balta down back but needs to be used more in the ruck as well where he's a shock weapon who can turn games on their head in a 5-10 minute spell. :shh

Id keep things simple with Balta. Ideally he's on 2nd or 3rd best defender and he peels off and spoils, plus one of his biggest weapons is his long kicking out of defence / in transition.

This also allows him to be freed to go into Ruck and have a Broad type play on the 3rd forward. Gibcus and Trainor to be our key positions going forward until they are ready it can be Balta with the idea he moves to 3rd when they are ready to take over.
