Richmond holds picks No.3 and 4 in the order and is also likely to use three selections overall.

AFL.com.au's assessment seeing a minimum of 44 picks and a maximum of 57 picks being used.

That would likely see an all-time low number of selections, with the previous low being 59 in 2022.

According to the Eagles draft talk, they could bypass CDT and go for Robey or Sharp at pick 2.

Opposition draft chats don't see us taking CDT (as we took Sims last year) nor Sharp or Greeves (due to Smillie). They don't see Robey getting past our picks.

Draft should be held in October instead of 5 weeks after silly season.

All the chatter is bloody annoying.

Unfortunately the Draftees have their VCE’s to tend with over the next 4 weeks.
They also need to prepare for life after football….

What difference do you think it would make? A significant one? There might be 70 kids taken across the country.

All that anxiety about both exams + draft.

vs

Knowing you're drafted and can relax somewhat (they would, smart or not), or knowing you're not drafted so you'd better study harder

As someone who potentially has a daughter looking to be drafted this season I can tell you first hand, exams are taking 100% of her focus at the moment and so they should be.
We’re not just talking about the 50 or 60 kids who will get drafted this year, we’re also talking about the 3-400 hundreds that will nominate and won’t get drafted. These kids have just spent the last 12 years working toward this, is definitely doesn’t come down to “oh well, I didn’t get drafted, I better pull my finger out with study now” for many of the kids the next 4 weeks may determine what happens to them for the rest of there lives, it shouldn’t be all thrown out the window just because the punters can’t wait and extra 5 weeks to see what there club is going to do in the draft.

Thanks, appreciate and respect that share.

There was nothing facetious about my question to you btw, was genuine.

I'm so long out of school but my kids are so young that VCE is the last thing on my mind.

Gotta Take  Sharp if he is there. He is in  the best two available.

Why noone wants Dyson Sharp is bewildering. Acadamies and f/s aside he is one of the top two players in this draft.

Why would we not use pick 4 on CDT if we rate him next best Talls don't grow on trees and we have not taken one in the top 10 yet alone top 5 so far in this rebuild.

Just because this draft does not run deep it doesnt mean there is no talent after pick 2.

Agree with this crawski
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”
