Sam Lalor will play for Richmond in Monday's match simulation against West Coast.

Richmond has named a 22-player squad for Monday's match simulation against West Coast, to be played at Mineral Resources Park, Perth.

2024 draftees Sam Lalor, Jasper Alger and Thomas Sims will make their first competitive outings in the Yellow and Black, while Campbell Gray, Oliver Hayes-Brown and Liam Fawcett get the opportunity to push for a senior debut.

A host of Tigers young and old will not make the trip to Perth, with West Australian Kamdyn McIntosh (190 games) by far the most experienced, as the only player to have featured in more than 70 senior AFL games.

The match simulation will consist of 3 x 25-minute periods, with the first bounce from 9.30am local time (12.30pm AEDT). The trial will be streamed exclusively live on KAYO.

NB: I'll put my hand up and say I got it wrong about Trainor, not going to Perth but definitely trained on Friday, go the last minute of the training video from Friday

Regarding trainer, word is he only did the warm up with main group and then rehab group for the rest.

Spewing Armstrong isn’t playing

Lalor is a massive mid. He’s working hard, you can tell he has some fitness to build as expected. Nice classy mark and goal too.

 Score?
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Terrible start to 2nd QTR.  Easy transition goal to them.  12-7.  Gray should have kicked a goal 30 secs earlier.

And another to them.  Any side that goes quick is going to murder us.
And we should have wore yellow, can't tell the teams apart.

Ralph smith still just too soft for mine. Always runs past the ball. Pick it up and take the tackle

Sonesie another who’s too soft. Smacks the ball straight to a west coast player rather than holding and taking the tackle

It's Feb guys, don't lose too much sleep over this stuff. The main aim is for no injuries. Otherwise it's just another training session.

It’s a chance for the fringe players to show they can contribute, we don’t have anywhere near our full strength team out there
