Do we think Freo may join us and WCE for this game? No other interstate side is travelling.....AFL just plain forgot about them?

Chill  ;D (pun intended)

Did you miss the bit about time TBC?

Meaning it can be played at night... it's not like it's being played in the Pilbara

Actually any of the games might end up being played in 43 degree heat  :rollin

It was 33 degrees at midnight this week in Perth and gets hotter in Feb so I think I know a little more than the halfwit scheduling the games at CFL house.

They'll have silly rules won't they?

Shortened quarters (or 5 periods?) with extended benches etc?

I’m going to go to this game - don’t work on a Monday, should be fun to get an early glimpse of the kids and see who’s firing .

Richmond to face West Coast in Match Simulation

Richmond Media
28 Jan 2025

Richmond will face West Coast at Mineral Resources Park in Match Simulation on Monday, February 17 from 9.30am WST (12.30pm EDT).

The contest will consist of 3x 25-minute periods and two seven-minute breaks, with flexibility to reduce the duration of the third period in the event of hot weather.  There will also be an option for an extension of the breaks between play if required.

Mineral Resources Park will be open for fans to attend, with entrance through the McCartney Crescent Gate and the match simulation will be streamed live on Kayo Sports.

RICHMOND

Indigenous All-Stars squad members:

Maurice Rioli Jnr.

Match simulation details:

Play West Coast on Monday February 17 at 12.30pm (AEDT), Mineral Resources Park (4x30-minute quarters with no time on).

In doubt/won't play:

Josh Smillie (hamstring)
Tom Lynch (concussion) is expected to play against Collingwood in the Community Series as he builds back his loads
Jonty Faull (back)
Judson Clarke (knee)
Tylar Young (knee)
Josh Gibcus (knee)
Mykelti Lefau (knee)
Taj Hotton (knee)

What to look out for:

The new kids.

Few clubs have ever attacked the draft as hard as the Tigers did last November. And the reality is the Tigers will likely have to turn to several of them early in the year to make an impact. No. 1 pick Sam Lalor will play against West Coast in Monday’s match simulation, while the likes of Harry Armstrong, Tom Sims and Luke Trainor should get a good taste against the Eagles and then later the Magpies. Josh Smillie is nursing a minor hamstring strain, and while he may be in a race against time to be fit for practice hit-outs, it seems he will be in the Round 1 selection frame. Despite his interrupted draft year, Lalor has starred on the track at Punt Road, especially since Christmas. Coach Adem Yze told AFL Media: “You look at him and he is a man. He is ready to go.”

Nope, should but they won't

Because it's not a standard game.. they're only playing three 25 minutes "quarters"... unlimited interchanges, can play everyone and determine how they want they game played eg no throw ins,

Personally I'd rather proper praccy games

Tom Morris said we're taking a very young 23-man squad over to WA with only one Tiger over 24 y.o. (Kmac).

Draftees Lalor, Armstrong and Alger have all been selected.
