Expectations should be low coming into the season.  If your a supporter expecting to win many games you'll find it a tough, long year.
Summarising that quarter just slow ball movement and they did the opposite.  We couldn't keep up.

Dow still no where near the level. I have no expectation for the season other than to see effort and to see the right players getting picked each week. This game we’ve seen that many should not be picked

Lalor KO thanks to a push from wc player. Great. Could be a shoulder too and if a jaw/facial injury.

Hopdfully a mild concussion and back in a couple weeks

Has he been knocked out?

He looked to have a concussion immediately and perhaps a facial and or shoulder injury

There are a few players young or not, that don't look up to it. Some pretty heavily hyped this pre season.  Mansell, Bauer & Campbell in particular.  Campbell just gets no where near it.

Ginley pushed Lalor, hope it’s nothing to serious as he was favouring his jaw.

I went to the game this morning- it was less than 10km away from my house . It was really easy to get to , just walked straight in and found a nice shady embankment opposite the goals .
It was really pleasing to see so much yellow and black walking about in the crowd. We really do have a large supporter base over here in the West .

As for the game itself- it was really uninspiring. Obviously expectations were low with such a young team . I really just wanted to see improvement from the likes of Mansell , Blight and Ross  who according to reports have been “ training the house down “….didn’t see anything of note .
Once West Coast put some speed on the ball , we opened up with minimal resistance.
Typically , even through I had a nice spot behind the goals - the ball was barely in the Richmond forward line and all our goals were kicked at the opposite end .

Lalor is such an impressive size already, will dominate in a couple of years . Everyone’s heart sank when he went down and feared the worse , so relieved he was able walk off .

Ginbey chicken heart. Will happily boo this idiot next time he gets a game in Vic. Weak as pee.

Pushing a player into a contest is worse then bumping or tunneling. It's chaos and injuries always happen.

I'll say it again.  Whoever is running these comps need to have a good look at themselves.  Huge colour clash, could barely tell the difference.
Yellow for us would have been the smarter choice
