Outs:  Mansell (suspension), Armstrong, Miller, Smith
In Alger, McAuliffe, Gray, Sims.
They won't drop Miller but I'd like to see Gray, see what he's got

I'd like to see Short dropped but know that won't happen either.  He needs a change of position, maybe try him forward or wing

Like to see Taranto play as a half forward and McAuliffe and Rioli brought in. Ryan will be suspended and Smith maybe out injured.

OUTS: Armstrong (to find some form, some leather), Green, Mansell (suspension)

INS: McAullife, Gray, MRJ or Algier

Will add Smith is highly doubtful so bring in both MRJ and Algier

Sounds like Blight will play forward/ruck so Gray will likely take his place down back and doubt another tall forward will come in.One of Alger or MRJ will replace Mansell while the other will be sub, Banks will also return, Smith back to the VFL. Suspect the he Dow over KMac2 farce will unfortunately continue. :shh

Yep.

People want to drop on their expectations, not on best 23/form.

Not hoppers fault we paid that trade price.

I actually said in the match day thread at half time, he's game un to that point had been outstanding and I copped a few whacks  ;D

His 2nd half was like most of the team ordinary

TBH I don't think it matters to many on here what he does, he's going to cop it. He's a very easy mark

In the mix - Round 4

1 April 2025

Wingers Banks and Ralphsmith are chances to return against Brisbane, the latter having injured himself in the match simulation against West Coast six weeks ago, while Smillie is set to return through the VFL. Fawcett's VFL appearance lasted less than a quarter, suffering a broken nose and concussion that will sideline him for a handful of weeks. Clarke has a return timeframe for the first time after rupturing his ACL in April last year. Kane McAuliffe was once again Richmond's best in the VFL, with 28 and nine clearances, while draftee small forward Jasper Alger is putting pressure on after 12 touches and two goals.

Mansells aggression will be missed. Would bring in mrj to at least lay some tackles.

I am quite sure Mansell won’t be missed. A trier at best. MRJ would probably create more angst from the opposition with his nearly tackles
"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

Team Tips:

The Tigers battled early against St Kilda before fading badly, conceding 14 second-half goals to fall by 82 points, and changes both forced and unforced are coming.

Valuable forward Rhyan Mansell will miss three matches. If he wants a forward as a replacement, Adem Yze could opt for Maurice Rioli or draftee Jasper Alger after both hit the scoreboard at VFL level. Alger put his best foot forward against Sandringham, booting two goals along with 11 disposals, while Rioli dobbed one major as he continues to press his case for a season debut.

Meanwhile, provided he passes requisite testing, rebounder Sam Banks should return from a concussion he suffered against Port Adelaide.

Kaleb Smith was the tactical sub against the Saints and could be the man to make way for Banks after gathering seven disposals in his brief time on ground.

Elsewhere, hard-nosed midfielder Kane McAuliffe backed up a solid VFL hitout last week with 25 disposals, eight tackles and eight clearances against the Zebras. He could also be a consideration for Mansell’s spot if Yze isn’t desperate for a like-for-like.

Top-10 draftee Josh Smillie appears in line for some VFL match action after recovering from a pre-season hamstring complaint.
