It’s a bit harsh to stick to a young bloke as he loses his job . I don’t believe he has done anything to warrant our disrespect.
I wish him all the best and hope he gets picked up by another club.

"The money might have been better. But, at the end of the day, Richmond showed faith in me. It's only fair that now we're 18th on the ladder, I show the faith back in the club and do everything I can to put them in front. In the end, I'm stoked I made the decision to stay. I f***ing love this club”

II think it was the correct decision.  The club gave Dow a fair crack at showing whether he was upto AFL standards. Unfortunately for Dow he was not able to show he could consistently  play at the required level. Good luck to him in his future endeavors

A fair crack many times over

Many before him would be asking why they never got the same chance

No disrespect intended.

I just think this;
Dow 6 years
Sonsie 4 years

If we're keeping one I'd take Sonsie. Looks more damaging (and that's not high praise) and less time in the system/you'd think more upside as a result.

@RichmondDynasty

 " After re-signing Sonsie there are 33 players on the senior list for 2026.  With Seth Campbell needing to be elevated that will make it 34 players.

Richmond will have 4 live picks in the draft.  Could all be filled with picks 3,4+ 38 plus a pick used to match a bid on Kellaway "

Nice nice. + a few rookie spots available too.

No, only 1 spot when Seth is upgraded, max 42 on list excleufing Cat B

Yup you’re right. My bad. Assuming we take 4 players in the national draft, that’s 38 on the primary list. Gray, Mykelti and Tresize on the rookie list leaves 1 Cat A rookie spot up for grabs for the rookie draft, SSP or mid season draft.

Hopefully with Dow delisted it means we are taking 2 mids with picks 3 and 4 and not the outside player Grlj or medium defender Taylor.

2018 to 2020 proved to be lean years for Richmond in the draft. The only players remaining are:

2018 - Jack Ross
2019 - Hugo Ralphsmith
2020 - Samson Ryan, Maurice Rioli Jr

Let me say straight up I agree with the decison.

But I think he was only given a "fair crack at it" in the lat 2 seasons. Certainly wasn't under Dimma's reign,  not that many of our draftees were, hence it's one of the reasons why we find ourselves in the situation we are in.

Only miller left from 2017
Huge concerns about 2021. So far only Gibcus of quality and we need to get him over his injury problems. Imo the two most likely from that draft have suffered serious injuries with Clarke doing knee #3. Little wonder the mid tier is barren.

 we only had 4 picks in 2022 and 2023 the earliest being pick 40 McAuliffe.  apart from last year the beginings of immediacy problems were there as well with no kids coming thru to fill the mid tier.

I don't think you can play Hardwick. The recruiting was not good enough.
