All clubs have those silly late picks, they're often just not listed.

You get as many picks as you have spots left I think, in order by club, but most just don't draft that many anymore

we have 81 also

Why did the Cats delist him after 1 season?
As much as I detest them, it is very rare (if ever) that players leave that club and then forge success elsewhere.
The Cats have a reputation of being very patient with young talent which is another red flag for me.
Hope the kid proves me wrong but something doesn’t add up here

Maybe he just didn't want to live in that shanty town, surrounded by ford falcons and stepping in cow paddies everywhere while the masses froth over dangerwank when Retschko is a diehard Tiger fan.

Unless he just couldn’t adjust to the trip down the highway? I also wonder why Geelong would let a player go who plays consistently well in the reserves . We don’t toss them after one season.

I wish him the best but I wonder what the knock on him is.

They were probably clearing house to make way for curnow and Marshall etc, which worked well for them I see.

Unfortunately we do not have a good track record in recent times  recruiting ex Geelong players.  Hunt Kingsley and Neeld spring to mind.
