which one of the Sydney 5 would anyone take here. Heeney is a no for obvious reasons (age) and i think he should stay anyway and fix that club up.

I would take Blakey in a heartbeat. Blakey and Butters sounds good to me.

Surely at least 3 leave.

As I posted on the other thread

I wouldn't be taking any of them. Why? because each player even though are not the person under investigation for the alleged sexual assault were on the room and allegedly did nothing to stop what was taking place. They may not end up being charged but they are still guilty.

So taking on any of them by extension is condoning their behaviour. Happy to call it guilty by association

Don't give poo if anyone agrees or not.

Your entitled to an opinion, even though its wrong.

WP you passed judgement on our greatest player to ever play for the RFC before you uncovered the facts. Why would you go there again?

i think those who are found guilty shouldn't be held in the same light as others who were merely present.

Either way for me Blakey would be a great get and exactly what we need. He can teach our kids what not to do now off field.

We took Pickett on ffs or have you forgotten? Lets give the kid a second chance.
Not sure WP ever passed judgment on Dusty and I think he has been clear on that on a number of occasions.

Anyway, I think the harm to our reputation would be nearly be as bad the harm caused to Sydney’s if we picked up one the five players involved. Sexual assault charges proven or not, paying a woman to snort cocaine off her body would most certainly put a number of sponsors off if we picked any of them up. And with a young crop of players, what message does that send to them?

:lol come on. I recall vividly the early calls back then.

Now to your comment. Is that what Blakey has done? I haven't read that, but i ask you one thing and one thing only. Did the woman consent to this being done?

lets say and its a fair assumption that the woman allowed this on her body. While i find it weird and disgusting its probably normal play out there in those circles.

No one will care in 6 months. He will bounce back and be better for it 100%. Is it worse than Careys and Pickets antics, Balta, or even that slime Milne if you want to go back that far. No its not.

All players played on and Blakey will have MULTIPLE clubs lining up for him. I hope we are one of them.

Geez you are so predictable and TBBH pathetic  >:(. My opinion isnt wrong because you dont agree with it.

I was wondering how long it would take for you to bring up Dusty and chopsticks. You have constantly posted (read LIED) about what I said at the time. On that topic you have accused me of saying that Dusty should have been sacked. That is a lie, I never said that! I said that he should have copped a hefty suspension for being so blind drunk during pre-season that he couldn't remember what he did and that if the allegations were proven to be true than the penalty should increase. At no time despite your baseless claims did I ever suggest he should be sacked. So stop lying

Now to your defence of Blakey, what he has done? It was alleged he was on the room. Actually his Club has confirmed he was in the room. Do you get that? He was there and if someting happened that leads to someone being charged then he it would be reasonable to assume he did nothing to stop what was happening. Or do you not think that is a fair assumption

Now you further defend him by saying "did the women consent to this being done". Consent to what, the alleged cocaine on the bodies bit that the media are running with? What does it matter, again there is an investigation going on that that clearly suggests that more than that happened. You do get that don't you?

That you suggest that no one will care in 6 months and that he will "be better for it" is the exact reason why this is so serious and people should care.

And it is worse than Balta’s incident? Yep 100 times worse. Is it worse than Carey's depending on which one of his you are talking about but he's it is. The only one it isn't worse than is Milne and any one with half a brain would know why but this certainly comes pretty close.

And you want to know why? Because it is now 2026 and this crap (violence against women) is still happening at levels far worse than the last 40 years.

So if you think giving this bloke or any of the others another chance is the right thing to do then good for you.

As a woman I sit here and think your thinking is part of the wider problem. You simply dont get it

I still think we should  wait for the facts to come out. I get the emotion and it’s illegal to use drugs but logic tells me just because your in the room doesn’t mean your guilty.

When it comes to charges and court dates, i agree. But that logic doesn’t apply to the work place and to a players contract.

Jimmy Bartel has explained how the Cats can land Zak Butters, Toby Greene and Rowan Marshall.

https://www.3aw.com.au/how-geelong-could-pull-off-a-triple-trade-heist/

- Tyson Stengle gone
- Dangerfield and Cameron on less
- Stewart still on good money but not on peak dollar anymore.
- Lots of players who were late picks who are on lesser money
- For Butters, Richmond can better facilitate a deal via picks but Geelong can offer player(s) & picks.

Tiger71 on the Tigercast youtube show tonight:

* We are chasing Noah Anderson next year. Not a lock but we are going after him.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHk_wr5PNGE
Anderson admits the Suns felt like they were a “dead carcass being picked at” this year.  But why he is keen to re-sign. “Listen, I hope that my performances and the way I have handled myself have shown that this is the footy club I want to be at and although it’s been a difficult year I am super motivated by the coaches and group and club as a whole. That they really find value in me and I find value in them.”

Port are seemingly tanking against Essendon.

We will have the number 1 pick to pass on to a certain South Australian club .

It’s happening !!!!

It may be so obvious the AFL might investigate

Dont agree.

i dont understand how there is any different between pick 1 and 2 for them?

port will match any bid for DC. There is no standout player in the open draft.

The theory is we would trade them pick 1 allowing them to take the best player in the open draft and then they would match a bid for Cochrane after that. So they would essentially get the 2 best players in the draft.

Now with Essendon at pick 1 they’ll bid on Cochrane and ports next 2 picks after that will be absorbed by matching.

The changing of the guard at GWS. Stringer gone, Kingsley concedes Hogan gone too. Kieren Briggs more likely to move to a club like Richmond on a 4 year deal. The kids are taking over. Wrote on Tuesday about how it is the perfect excuse for Toby Greene to depart if he wants to chase a flag. Decision time looms as Geelong and Essendon push hard

Out-of-contract Power star Zak Butters has jetted back to Adelaide ahead of his exit interview, which is likely for tomorrow [ed. now today] at Alberton.

Understand Geelong is ahead of Richmond at this stage.

Sources believe negotiations this week could determine what club can best satisfy Port Adelaide.

@willcrouch9 spoke with him a short time ago:

If Butters requests Geelong we should bid on Cochrane and Walker. Stuff both clubs.

No idea htf Geelong would get it done.
