What are people's thoughts on Leon Cameron comming back as a skills coach.

A good idea if we could get him back from the kennel. The doggies skills continue to be one of the best in the comp.

Not sure if McGuane would want to come back with the senior coach's job up for grabs at the Saints.

Given the decision was made mid-year to give Thomas the shove,

Last week Spida was asked if he'd go to St Kilda (I think it was on WLF). Said he wouldn't while GT was there.
The comment was made that it ruled out him going to St Kilda then. Spida replied, "Who's to say GT will be there next year?"

Methinks Spida knew Thomas was gone before Thomas did.
The conspiracy theorist in me says Aints people have been priming Spida for a return for a while.

On the footy show, Thomas said the falling out with Buttress and the board had been going on for a year or two and with the Saints board singling out replacements before their loss to the Dees it wouldn't be a surprise if Spida knew something. He obviously would still know people close to the inner sanctum at the Saints.

BLAKE Caracella, whose career was ended prematurely this season through injury, is expected to make a return to AFL circles next season. Caracella was this week interviewed by Richmond and Bulldogs officials for an assistant coaching role.

Provided all his outside-footy issues have been resolved, you would think he would be one of a number of potential candidates. I wouldn't mind us getting Micky McGuane back at the club.

TRIPLE Brisbane premiership player Craig McRae is keen to move into the coaching ranks.
McRae, a specialist forward for most of his career, has already been interviewed by Richmond and Port Adelaide.

The Tigers are increasing their list of assistant coaches under Terry Wallace. The Power needs to find replacements for Tony McGuinness, who has resigned and Phil Walsh, who will spend most of 2007 in another role with Port Adelaide.

McRae began his career in the SANFL where he played for Glenelg under current Port coach Mark Williams.

Silvagni has finished up with the Bulldogs, but will coach somewhere in the AFL next year.

Carlton remains interested, while Silvagni also has had discussions with Richmond coach Terry Wallace about a vacancy at Punt Rd.

Richmond, which will add at least one additional assistant coach for next season, has interviewed Craig McRae, the recently retired Blake Caracella, who played under Kevin Sheedy, Leigh Matthews and Mick Malthouse, and Ashley Prescott, who has been coaching Claremont in the WAFL in recent seasons after a playing career with Richmond and Fremantle.
