"In round 20 (last week) we had about 18 games per player less experience than we had in round 20 last year," he said.

"We are significantly younger this year and even this week there is a lot of talk about Essendon playing their younger boys but, based on the two teams from last week, we will have about 600 games less experience than them."

Sports Tonight showed Tezza giving Sheeds a backhander today saying music after goals is commercialising the game and isn't that basketball crap  ;D.

Speaking of James Hird, on The Gospel the other week, they were asked if they could choose a player between James Hird, Nathan Buckley and Michael Voss, at their peak, who would they pick.  Apart from Browny who chose Hird, the rest all picked Vossy.

LMAOOOOOOOO Moi!  :rollin

Somehow I feel the tree people will be a little short changed at the "G" even if they aren't the people who pays.
God bless em anyway.  :lol

Round 21 previews
24 August 2006   Herald-Sun

RICHMOND v ESSENDON MCG 7.10pm

Head to head: Richmond 78 Essendon 97 Drawn 4

Last time: Richmond 13.19 (97) bt Essendon 13.17 (95) R6 2006 MCG

TAB Sportsbet: Richmond $1.42 Essendon $2.75
Centrebet: Richmond $1.41 Essendon $2.90

These two teams may be well out of the running but that hasn't stopped the coaches from talking up their views. Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy has deflected the focus from his side's miserable season by attacking the current trend of ``flooding'' players behind the ball. He says the league needs to act to stop the ugly spectacle but it's likely, whatever brand of football Essendon dishes up, it won't be too pretty either. Richmond, meanwhile is looking ahead with the signing of young stars including Andrew Raines, the son of Tiger great Geoff Raines. Essendon has a tougher encounter against the Western Bulldogs in its final season game so will be all out to score points here for a little respectability. Richmond is chasing its third win in a row and wants to at least propel itself properly into the 2007 pre-season. It goes into the game on the back of a solid win over a weak Carlton side but demonstrated the old-style long kicking to high-marking contests which Sheedy has been calling on all sides to show. With the key personnel stacking up in favour of the Tigers this week a repeat performance should help them over the line.

Key: Essendon has star full-back Dustin Fletcher out so Richmond spearhead Matthew Richardson should provide a major target for the Tigers, if they employ their traditional tactics of last week.

Tip: Richmond by 25 points

Im sorry Im gonna pee people off, but we were diabolical tonight. Average performance from us against a team who shouldnt have got within 10 goals of us. My future non premiership players stay in tact. We were smashed in centre clearances in key parts of the game and our defence was a rabble.

Put it down to a long year for some young kids, Ramps.  At least they won  :thumbsup
The alternative would have been pretty unbearable after the good year they've had.
