Too bad this isn't a presidential election. The Yanks have turned on Bush and his party.

Arnie kept his gig as Governor of California easily though. He'll be bock!  ;D

Does that mean the Democrats can block supply and do a Malcolm Fraser, she says, hopefully lol
Not sure what this election means.  It's unlikely any Opposition would block supply, so we're still stuck with him for a while longer.
When's the next presidential elections?

LOL

Probably won't make much difference to us but Bush will have a unfriendly congress/parliament to deal with especially if the Democrats gain control of both houses. I guess they could impeach him lol.

The Presidential election isn't for another 2 years  :P but Bush's two terms will be up then so he'll be gone no matter who wins.

The republicans have lost control of both houses - my heart bleeds ;D

Pretty much the end of Bush insofar as he can't do what he wants anymore. :santa

I think the Democrats will have an eye on the 2008 pres elections and not doing to much to p*ss off the middle ground so I would expect the next two years to be pretty slow going.

Agree Jake although the Democrats need to make sure they get the right candidate(s). That's what Clinton's great strength was - popular amongst the middle ground - the right personality/persona (and in the US personality has so much to do with it)

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the Dems have a standout candidate for the presidential elections. I don't think America is ready to vote in a black or female president, which rules out both Clinton and Obama. Edwards more likely to be selected on the basis that he is from the south. If not it will be one of the old brigade - Dean, Kerry etc.

If McCain gets the republican nomination then it will be a good result no matter who wins the presidency.

Donald "we are your 1980's ally Saddam" Rumsfeld has resigned as well :thumbsup.

Kerry won't get another shot for the Democrats after his last foot in mouth comments. Not sure if the Yanks would vote for someone whose name rhymes with Osama lol.

LOL.

Hopefully now his dumb reckless foreign policies will no longer be just rubber stamped. There might also be a few investigations into suss dealings by high profile Republicans. Corruption was one of the main issues.

Once the dust settles I can see it being a joint Obama & Hillary ticket

President Obama and Vice President Clinton
