Plough gave Kingy the unsung hero praise this week – "it was his ability to at least fight for the jumper and show real pride, while others floated around the field."

Unashamedly a Jake King fan :clapping

I reckon tezza has summed him up perfectly this week in the EOTT .

Had a chat to him last night - great bloke. And still has the stitches up his eye - wont stop him though :thumbsup

Have to say I watched him closely last night.

An absolute gun.
Hard nosed and determined in a Tony Free type of way.

Always...always takes them on, always always runs through the corridor. For me the recruit of the year.

Before he did his shin last night, he was BOG

And he's got some mongrel too. With him, Jackson, Connors, Jack, we are starting to get together a group that will make sure we aren't the soft team that gets pushed around at will anymore.

ditto, but on a side note does anyone else think JON has a very large head, like disproportionate to the rest of his body

I'd like to see Jake wearing number 9 in season 2008 - I think he has earned that right :thumbsup

Never doubted for a minute the kid would be able to play at this level - got heaps of determination and belief.

Absolutely loves the way he plays

I've been a fan of Jake's since the first time I saw him play against the Swans in Canberra.  :thumbsup

He is one of the most composed players we have in tight situations and he backs his ability! Congrats Jake on a great first season  :thumbsup :thumbsup
