Noticed Willie Wheeler has gone to Willy.
I think the best Burger players know it's going to be very hard for Coburg to be competitive and survive on their own next year. I don't blame Wheeler jumping ship to join a strong VFL club.

Outside of Nick Carnell, they've lost most of their senior (decent) players. No surprise, need $$$ to compete with the W'stns, Port Melbs of this world

No thanks.  Apart from the 2000km distance issue, Frankston is to Coburg what Gold Coast is to Richmond.  Too early in the year for that crap!!

Who else is playing?
At a guess - Elton (confirmed), McIntosh, McBean, Derickx, Darrou, Williams, ?, ?

The remaining two could be any of Knights, Chaplin, Lonergan or Simon?

Looks like another loooooooooooong year coming up for Coburg  :P.

From twitter:
"QT: Frankston all over Coburg and lead 6.3.39 to 1.0.6. Dolphins defensive pressure has been sensational"

Coburg's no 7 not looking good after a teammate's clearing kick from defence slammed into his face  :-X. Game stops, trainers attend to him

Not so much going on this quarter, strong breeze now favouring Coburg but they haven't capitalised.

Edit: Elton just kicked a goal from a set shot. Frankston leading Coburg 6.3.39 to 2.3.15 deep into the second quarter

Elton lines up for his second goal but misses. Uysal intercepts the kick-in and makes no mistake. It's Fra 6.3.39 Cob 3.4.22

Aaron Edwards slots a set shot. Jarrod Irving has kept him pretty quiet until now. It's Fra 7.3.45 - Cob 4.4.28

Half-time

Coburg      1.0    4.4-28
Frankston  6.3    7.3-45

Goals: A.Edwards, Elton, Brandt, Uysal.

Coburg kicked 3 goals with a substantial breeze. Frankston maintain a healthy lead.

Coburg's Jesse Boyd was the player stretchered off.
