At 3QT it was Frankston leading 10.7.67 to 7.4.46

But Coburg jumped out of the blocks in the last quarter to slam on 4 goals to pinch the lead. Frankston just replied though and now lead by a point.

And it's all over! Frankston almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory but a late major to Sam Lloyd ensured they held on.

Jesse Boyd stretchered off after copping a ball to the head from Steven Verrier, freak incident.

A pic of Elton playing for Coburg today:

Watched the 3rd term when Coburg kicked against the wind, gee Elton moves and marks very well and is starting to fill out. Played well in the ruck....great leap.

Good to hear Machine  :thumbsup.

Do you know what other RFC guys played for Coburg today? I know Elton, A.Edwards and Verrier did.

Final Score:

Coburg       1.0    4.4     7.4     12.6-78
Frankston   6.3    7.3   10.7     12.7-79

Known Goalkickers: A.Edwards 2, Saad 2, Elton, Brandt, Uysal, ?, ?, ?

The burgers took the lead with a minute to go, only for lloyd to kick the winner for the dolphins with seconds left

Darrou, Williams, McDonough and McIntosh.........all looked good while I was watching. McDonough was playing in the back half as was Verrier.

I only saw the 3rd quarter so I can only give a small run down.

Verrier - He is starting to look like a solid player. Very good side step and he was very vocal instructing players around him.
Darrou - Played deep back and did ok given he was playing on some big opponents.
Williams - Played in the midfield and wing and got involved physically. A positive is he moves very well in traffic.
McDonough - Played half back which will help his defensive game. Magnificent kick.
McIntosh - Played deep back and showed some good speed at time and nice spoils.
Elton - Was used in the ruck and played very well. Missed a few passes but is was very windy so not overly concerned. Has a fantastic leap and mark.
Edwards - Was used as a spare man in defence and also played in the middle. Nothing special.

Coburg player Saad was electric and has some serious pace. Played well.
