For those interested, Logan Hill and Ryan Anderson have left Coburg to join Andy Collins at West Adelaide.

Nothing sinister Darth

He was after a full time gig (he was part time at Coburg) in Footy

That's the only reason he left

Thanks WP, no possible conspiracy theories about not getting an assistant gig ?

Geez, the West Adelaide Bloods could do with a decent coach after Wayne Weidemen (mulleted Crows cult figure from the ealy 90's) getting walloped weekly in the SANFL.  Andy will sort the party boys out from there pretty quickly.

No conspiracy theories at all.

I agree that after Weidemann there is only one way for Wests to go and thats up.

I read with interest that 2 Coburg boys (lesser known btw) are making the trek to SA to join Collo.

Logan Hill & Ryan Anderson

Logan Hill is a gun. I wanted us to consider him for a rookie spot.

Top-aged Calder Cannons who have missed out on AFL selection have been invited to do pre-season training with the club's VFL affiliate Coburg Tigers  :thumbsup.

http://www.morelandleader.com.au/article/2007/12/17/27131_cov_sports.html

Calder's 2007 list is here:
http://www.sportingpulse.com/nf/team_info.cgi?c=1-3020-27642-52873-5262044&a=STATS

Take out those drafted this year: Dean Putt, Addam Maric, Darcy Daniher, James Polkinghorne, Mitch Farmer, Tony Armstrong, Aaron Kite, Jeremy Laidler, Ashley Arrowsmith and Phil Smith. Jackson Trengove is eligible for the 2008 AFL draft.

Coburg can then choose from the rest who were part of Calder's premiership team.

The benefits of our tri-affiliation with Coburg and Calder  :thumbsup. Like having a 2nd rookie draft all to ourselves.

Inside Football says retention has been the focus at Coburg.

Ryan Anderson and Logan Hill have followed Andy Collins to West Adelaide, Tommy Simpson returned to the Ammos, Myles Sewell went back to North Ballarat (only played in Melbourne because he was doing first-year at Melb. Uni) and Jono Mullins has joined Port Melbourne.

However all other senior players are back on deck and the Burgers are thrilled Richmond rookie-listed Silvester.

Surprised Mullins has left although he must have thought his opportunities were limited as he didn't play seniors in the VFL finals.

No mention of Neville leaving so fingers crossed there.

Inside football said Geelong has lost 9 of its VFL premiership players so with our Richmond additions Coburg should be a real show next year.

Word on the VFLfooty site is that Travis Ronaldson has been accepted into Adelaide University this year. Looks like he will sign with West Adelaide now that he's been assured of his entrance into uni.
