Ho Hum - Another Pathetic Attempt to play footbal
« on: July 17, 2004, 04:02:40 PM »
Yes, I am sounding more like Digger ;D  But 4 behinds since half time and its nearly 3/4 time - really!  No wonder Richo is frustrated - so are we.  Finding even my knitting more exciting than this game.  Do the players even know what crumbing is?  And sack whoever is the skills coach?  Bring on 2005!

LMAOOO@How Pettifer IS our backline and without him there is no drive.

LMAOOOOO@Frawley - lets see what tricks he pulls out of the proverbial this qtr.

I like Shane Tuck a lot, rekkon he'll be as good as his old man.

Kellaway is useless.

The kids run it forward and one of our old hacks spews it up.

OMG I know we should be use to garbage footy from us by now but today was the pits! Bloody over-handballing  >:(. 10 nothing handballs in a row then either turn it over by hand or bomb it forward under pressure straight to the Saints wall of players who switched play to free men. Talk about hot potato hot potato! It was laughable at times how dumb and undisciplined we are. No accountability or manning up. But hey what's new.  :-\

Once again every forward "pass" went to Richo. However we were set up so there wasn't anybody else to pass to ::). At one stage I counted SIX Saints around him.

The only reason we didn't get pumped by 100 points today was because the Saints began lairising and totally taking their foot off the pedal after 3/4 time.

It's worse than that MT. I heard Grant Thomas after the game and they were "experimenting" in the second half. :-[
They sacrificed kicking more goals by trialling players in different positions, that's why Riewoldt was moved up the ground. Talk about treating us with contempt, and with good reason today. :(

Finished that woollen noose yet julz? :-X

I would hate to be driving near any of these guys if their peripheral vision on the field is anything to go by.  ::)
My parents bought me a Richmond jumper and enrolled me in a junior footy clinic in 1981...look at me now.

You can say that again Gibby. If most of our guys were wearing blinkers you wouldn't notice the difference  :-\ . They simply don't look. Disgraceful is the only word for it. Actually Fiora appeared to make an effort to look around for other options but he often stuffed up with the execution.

On todays performance the following are not up to AFL standard.

Ottens, Blumfield, Fiora, Kellaway and Tivendale

I dont care how many hit outs that Ottens had, they werent effective.

Ottens should have been towelling up that hack today and he didnt, He should of towelled Allan last week and he didnt, remembering Allan was pick 68 in last year draft an is on $65,000 a year plus $2,000 a game .

Dunno about that.  First sign of domesticity I've probably ever had.  I can't talk and knit at the same time though - lose my concentration.  What made it worse was that the new yarn I tied on came loose and I had to unravel the whole lot and start again cause being the feathery yarn I couldn't see the stitches to save me.  First Richmond's woeful performance and then the knitting - wasn't a good day >:(

You'll be pleased to know JUlz that at least Richo didn't get abused every time he went near the ball, which I found a refreshing change. And what is with Richo being our forward line???? Mostly had no one their to help him, and time and time again when we had the run going  forward the player with the ball had to slow it down cos there was no one in the forward line except Richo and his four minders!!!!
