Totally agree with Jack and Bull in regards to the forward line.
We have always been too predictable one out with Richo, but some of the forward attacking roles yesterday were woeful.
Our game plan (especially into the forward line) is too predictable, and we have to change it.
We have the cattle. Richo one out 40m to 90m out of goal, with Petts (if he gets his head right again) and someone of the ilk of Bowden (either) or Meyer on the other forward stuff. Maybe even Kane Johnson, who was easily in our top three players against Collingwood imo.
Full forward line of Schultz, Brown and Krak roving. Throw Kingsley in as a bit player, and we can change the play with a tall forward line, or even switch to a one out role, with say Brown on his own in the 30m arch.
In regards to the midfield, we also have a decent engine room, but I am wanting Lids, Polo, Edwards, on the ball with Tambling and Raines on the wings.
I would drop Tuck after the effort against Collingwood. Too many errors. Tuck can get better with a spell in the magoos. Tivendale is having a decent year. Yes, i know he makes some bad mistakes, but he does straighten up our flow from the centre to forward line.
Gaspar is on borrowed time, but until Thursfield is back and fit (and does prove himself), he is still a very serviceable backman. Newman unfortunately is a required back line player, but I would suggest playing him rotating with Lids on the ball.
We will bounce back. We are not a bottom four side.
