they are all soft

they all could have had a dig at melb for their bad recruiting and team list

they had 1000 more games experience than us and we still pumped them

carro is a soft cow and duck and hutchy just proved how weak they are

They all wrote off the Dees performance as not turning up. Heaven forbid we get any credit for the win  ::). What excuse will they use next week if the Bombers roll the Dees.

As a first Caro didn't talk about us last night on Footy Classified but Carey chimed in saying "Richmond has had plenty of early picks, they just haven't chosen the right players" and that Carlton has the worst list in the comp. Worse than Richmond's.

Nice of Garry to try and steal Terry's idea of those teams finishing 9th get the first draft pick  ::)

I wonder if he'd say that if Melbourne had lost  :whistle. A Blues fan ringing him up on radio after that game hoping Carlton tanked the rest of the year started Lyon off.

Caro says she's going to talk about us later in the show. Probably just a tease again  ::). She said we reached a new low yesterday.

every year there is the poo team that everyone picks on. This year it is us. Whoever brings up the rear next year will be in for the same treatment.

Can't really throw any poo on us that we don't already know.

Caro says Terry won't be sacked as he has two years to go but will be under pressure next year. He has a poor list. She said he's been the "victim" of some ordinary recruiting over the past 5 years. The Club has changed it's recruiting this year as we already know.

Carey called Wallace the darling of the media and kept saying why Denis Pagan is under the gun and Plough isn't. Caro replied because Pagan has been there 5 years, has only a year to go and the Carlton board don't like Pagan and wanted to get of him last year. Wallace has 2 years left.

Yesterday was our "crunch ball" game. Oops! I'm presuming that's why we had a closed training session. That's two floggings in two years in the "crunch ball" game btw.

Time for us to give away the idea of crunch ball games. every game should be a crunch ball game.

Still don't know why the picks can't be paired up e.g. for rounds 1 and 2.

1 and 32
2 and 31
3 and 30
.
.
15 and 18
16 and 17

And the clubs choose which pair they want based on the depth they perceive in the draft. Last finishing club gets first choice.

Same could be done for rounds 3 and 4. For rounds 5, 6, 7, 8 etc go to the current setup where the bottom side gets the first pick in each round.

It means that the last club gets some advantage, but discourages 'bottoming out'.

Also mystified as to why the NRL is so much more even and harder to tip yet they don't have a draft - just the salary cap. Is it the one-on-one nature of the AFL game and the longer game time that results in more blow outs or is it the AFL discouraging teams from being competitive?

NRL is a lower scoring game. It doesn't stop blowouts though. The Storm won 44-0 on the weekend  :thumbsup.
