Another gem from Mike on the couch tonight - "you can have your structures and game plans all you want, but richmond are showing all thats out the door when you play with passion"  ::) ::) ::) Yeah idiot that's what it is, got nothing whatsoever to do with the structures and team rules hardwick has introduced. Way to sell us (especally Dimma) short. How does a dummy like this get a gig? fairdinkum... At least Hirdy disagreed and said but they do have and have improved their stuctures.

Tony, it wouldn't even occur to Mike Sheahan that playing with passion (which is basically intensity) would be an integral part of the game plan itself.

No Garry Lyon tonight so they have Dermie on instead .....

* Barrett still outside the Epworth saying Cuz will remain under sedation at least until tomorrow morning. He also has a breathing apparatus to help his breathing. Said Cuz took a 'No doze' common amongst footballers before the game to get him up and then a glass of wine afterwards and prescribed high-strength sleeping tablets.

* Caro said she heard rumours of drinking after the game but the club has denied that. Barrett said there was no talk of any benders. Cuz took the tablet privately in his residence or elsewhere out of the sight from the public.

* Caro wildly assuming again - saying the club is seriously concerned about Ben's health, that it's more about his health now than his football future, and that the club may have been naive saying it was only an adverse reaction to a sleeping tablet. It must be more than just 3 glasses of wine and a sleeping tablet.

* Dermie saying it's a serious issue. We've known prescription drugs can be dangerous if made into a cocktail.

* Thomas said it's gone beyond a football issue. It's now in the hands of the doctors.

* Caro said it's a pitty for Richmond as their past month has been spectatular.

* Dr Larkins said given his history with illicit drugs his body may be more susceptible to what his consumes so he needs to be more careful. He's taken sleeping tablets before so there must be something different about this episode.

Got to love how Caro states her guessing as though it's fact. She won't let go of her drinking allegation from earlier in the season :sleep

Onto our game....

* Thomas said it's Richmond's best win since their first win of the season (against Port). They never gave in and always had hope especially against the Swans who are renowned for squeezing sides when they have a good lead. Usually that never give in desire is the last piece of the jigsaw in teams so great that such a young side has that already.

* Hutchy said we won't make the Eight as they are too far back.

Fremantle (Etihad)
North Melb (MCG)
Collingwood (MCG)
Adelaide (MCG)
Melbourne (MCG)
Carlton (MCG)
St Kilda (Etihad)
Port Adel (Etihad)

Caro said we could still a chance because spots 7th and 8th is still susceptible. Dermie called Caro deluded as young sides always find rounds 14-20 tough. Give them a tick but young sides fatigue. Just enjoy the ride for the time being. Thomas said other clubs will seriously start to prepare against us now after 4 wins from our past 5. They can end up with 10 wins. Only Collingwood and St Kilda are definite losses.

* They praised Astbury, Collo and Dermie loves Martin. Caro doesn't like his tatts especially on his neck. She doesn't like tattoos full stop - Dane Swan's 'sleeve' etc. Players get addicted to it. She said if you want to make money get into tattoo removal in 10 years time when people won't want them anymore.

The obligatory Good call/Bad call question....

Q. Is Richmond the glamour team of the AFL?

A. Caro said yes. Incredible to say this considering where they were a month ago. The most exciting team going around at the moment.

i thought if your under sedation they always put a breathing piece in hense your knocked out and cant breath ya self. the quick 3 minute report of cuz being in hospital on lateline was better then the 15 minute blab-athon thoughs 4 put on.

I had a laugh at that too, he may have an oxygen mask, which is hardly a breathing aparatus.

Spot on TM - the very reasons that the media fools couldn't see what we were trying to implement when they called us "the worst ever" are still not capable of seeing.  I don't know how or what you have to do to become a media 'expert' but having a football brain appears to be the least of the required credentials.

Because Damian Barrett & his twin Hutchy would appear to take turns sleeping in Cuz's wheelie bin

i thought if your under sedation they always put a breathing piece in hense your knocked out and cant breath ya self. the quick 3 minute report of cuz being in hospital on lateline was better then the 15 minute blab-athon thoughs 4 put on.

Correct

It was gutter journalism of the highest order last night. Without actually saying it they implied a helluva lot without one shred of evidence  :banghead :banghead

From Barrett's live cross outside Epworth , where he carried on and threw in that we mustn't forget Ben's history so we really don't know what he has taken

TO Hutchy's "he's a drug addict, always will be" rant in repsonse to Dermie's he's a "reformed drug addict" comment to which Caro chipped in "I think we should say "re-covering" drug addict"

To Caro's comments about his drinking this time (again no proof) and then bringing up her story from earlier inthe year about his drinking... we know the one that Benny Gale flatly denied

The only one who made any semsblence of sense was Grant Thomas who simply said he's a sick boy and it isn't a footy issue now, it's medical on e and it should be left at that

And then Hutchy finsihes by saying "we are all just concerned about Ben's health"

Please give me a break you hypocrite  :banghead :banghead

It was pathetic, it was disgraceful it was gutter journalism again  :banghead :banghead :banghead

But at the end of the day we shouldn't have expected anything more should we ???

Unless in this case 2JD the leak is at the hospital itself.  Reporters from many facets of journalism would have sources at major hospitals for these type of 'scoops' and a call to say Ben Cousins is on his way in would be worthy of passing on.  It wouldn't have taken Barrett more than 5 minutes to get from the city to Epworth with that type of news.

An example - my granddaughter was pulled from the bottom of our swimming pool and the TV cameras were waiting at the hospital for the ambulance to arrive.  She made a full recovery but apart from the cameras at the hospital, within 15 minutes of the ambulance leaving our house we had a news helicopter hovering over our house and that vision made it to the news that night, with print journalists in our driveway within an hour of it all happening.  Talk about vultures - it was very confronting and eye-opening.
