Coburg doing a Richmond with players not making the distance from 30m out, hitting opposition players lace out and running in circles with the ball. Pride of Erin stuff.

Just before full time

Coburg   3.0   6.3    6.8   10.12-72
Bendigo  5.2   9.5  13.6   19.10-124

Goals: Meyer 2, Hughes 2, Krak 2, Moore, Riewoldt, Hyde, Farrelly

That's the final score. WP said it was a terrible game. McGuane best of the RFC players.

Hard to see anyone earning a promotion this week from Coburg after that. Very ordinary performance and error riddled.

Bugger.

I was hoping Meyer would play well enough to replace Petts and Hughes would play well enough to replace Kent/Schulz.   :banghead

Why not try McGuane up forward in place of Petts.

He has played up forward before and it wouldnt be hard to do better than petts.

Why not try McGuane up forward in place of Petts.

He has played up forward before and it wouldnt be hard to do better than petts.

Luke started at CHB and never stopeed running. Gave alot of run from the back half. Was moved to forward line in the 2nd half with Hughes moving to CHB. I thought Cleve's game improved when he went back. Was very pleasing to see him chasing and tackling (more of it I say).

Moore also got moved up forward. Thought he had a really bad game. No impact.

Krak - played in the mid field and up forward.

Dan Connors needs to be a bit more intense in the defensive side of his game.

Gus Graham tried hard was the Burgers only recognised ruckman as Ronaldson was out.

JON - started at CHB and then had to relieve in the ruck. Actualy thought he was OK there at least he made a contest and Bendigo didn't dominate like they should have.

MEyer - no comment - disappointing

Jack Reiwoldt - tried hard but not his best game

Chris Hyde - Ok

Terrible game - just terrible.

I see Camporeale got in the best - was he out there  :rollin

Ramanauskas joins party as Coburg crashes
04 June 2007   Herald-Sun
Geoff Poulter

With Richmond emergencies Chris Hyde (beaten by Cloke) and Jack Riewoldt (two goals) having quiet afternoons, Bendigo again showed it was an improving outfit in its 19.10 (124) to 10.12 (72) triumph, coming on the back of a strong win at Frankston in the previous round.

The Bombers led by only 20 points at halftime but cleared out in the second half, kicking 4.1 to 0.5 in the third term and six goals to four in the last.

For Coburg coach Andrew Collins the game was important to show his team just where they stood.

"They were way too good for us," Collins said.

"They had (Scott) Camporeale, (Ricky) Dyson, who were running machines. Jason Cloke (four goals) was very good. He played against Chris Hyde and was too good.

"(Sam) Lonergan also was really good, (Tom) Hislop, Chris Heffernan and Adam Ramanauskas were also very good.

"We had our captain Travis Ronaldson (injured arm) out and that made a huge difference to our team."

Collins did not blame the away ground and travel as a major handicap.

"It was their (Bendigo's) first home game as well," he said.

"For us it was more of a reality check, it showed where our individuals were at.

"We had 10 AFL boys, they had 14 plus Cloke and (Ben) Jolley."

Collins expects to have Richmond forward Nathan Brown, who had limited time in his comeback game in Coburg reserves on Saturday after complications following a broken leg, to be in his firsts for the next round.

Brown is likely to line up at Coburg against Sandringham on Monday.
