Is Pahoff good for Richmond
« on: July 26, 2004, 03:20:37 PM »
Personally I think he will single handly make sure we remain mediocre for another 10 years, if we fail to sign up a decent coach this time, we are doomed.

Whats wrong with this clown holding off until January? seriously would have to be a better time.

I reckon I have made thoughts on Pahoff very clear ;)

If he comments on who SHOULD be coach or if he comments on anything to do with the coach...NO.

If he shuts up and just has the petition waiting for the ticket to form itself then YES

NO!
He is an absolute disgrace.
This could only happen at Richmond.
I have no problem with change and if people want to change, go and seek election! Not hold guns to peoples heads which has happened in this instance !
I can tell you this that he has made a big drama with the coaching situation, fact, not opinion !

Spot on Jackstar my fear has always been that this whole thing would cause  some major damage - I think he may have already done so

I WAS impressed with his initial effort(weeks ago) BUT now,in light of Caseys offer and the ever mounting speculation regarding our clubs political climate and stability,Im of the opinion it's time to hang the bastard from the rafters art punt road.

A little bit of exposure can translate into the birth of a maniac.

Can I be like Frawley for a minute and find a positive out of this?

* At least Hawthorn are just as stuffed as we are and have Don Scott causing the same amount of damage.

All Pahoff has done is collect a few signatures.

He has recently stated that he prefers not to use them and hopes that the 2 groups can resolve the board room problems.

IMO Miller is using Pahoff as a smokescreen to look after his buddy Casey.  I've had a gutful of Miller.   Your'e either with RFC or not !!  None of this "I go if he goes" !!  Do we really want someone like this running the footy dept. ?

I didn't see a professional like Pagan up and leave when Elliot got the boot.

Don't be fooled by Miller and Casey's comments that a coach will be scared off by Pahoff.  Don't use Pahoff as the cause of the instability of the Club which Casey has already created way before Pahoff came into the picture.

Pahoff has done nothing to damage this club other than use his constitutional right to collect signatures and make the board accountable.
Does anyone have half an idea on anything?

Harry you make some good points, I'm inclined to agree with you.

Miller's conduct is especially embarassing in light of the fact that this whole petition business was brought up because of the incompetency of the Casey regime. To say he will leave if he doesn't beleive the new group can take the club forward is a joke. If he held that view he should have been on his bike already.

As to whether Pahoff is good for Richmond, well I'm not sure. In terms of making our club appear unstable in the public perception he is not good for the club, and if that keeps potential coaches away then he is bad for Richmond. That the alternative ticket is schithouse also makes his behaviour somewhat unnecessary.... But we must not forget the Casey regime was/is a big time rabble to begin with, and you'd expect potential coaches to know that....

I've been against Michael Pahoff's course of action, and I voted "no" in this poll.

He was interviewed on WLF tonight and said he is happy now to drift off into the sunset.
If this is the case then I reverse my vote and my opinion of him. He didn't present his petition so I would think it fair to say that he could be credited as a catalyst for today's pleasing outcome and held in high regard. (subject to him actually disappearing and not in regard to him posting Miller's email.)

I don't.  I think he legitimately put the club in a dangerous position, and just lucky that the warring factions had more level heads than he did.

Yep, agree with you froars on this one.

I am sure as soon as Miller seen that he had posted the email on PRE that he would have wanted to smash that fool in the mouth.

I know if he had bought the club to its knees and i seen him at the footy then he would have not walked home from the ground.

He is a D*&khead.
