Why does everyone want to get rid of Ray Hall? Do people think tall defenders grow on trees?

Who are we going to replace him with, Jason Cloke????

Good point although he is already been shown the door.
People have short memories. He actually played all right 2 years back.
And he has a bit of grunt in him beleive it or not.
Funny you say that Dallascrane, people love to bag players, was watching some all tapes from 2001 and everyone bagged Sziller. Can tell you if you know your footy, Sziller was one of the main reasons we got where we did that year. Sziller work at stoppages was fantastic.

As for Ray Hall, Ray did his job well when fit.

true jack,

he won the player of the finals that year!

Get the best development coaches. Get the best recruiters. Get the best facilities and fitness tracking devices. Blues fans will continue to be patient, provided they see spirit, and everyone pulling in the same direction.

I liked this bit, and thought it applied to us as well. Reckon we are very patient this year considering the season we've had.

You feel like getting the broom out after games like tonight and I'm not talking about the last 40 minutes and the final score. When the game was still hot we blew so many scoring chances that should have put us at least level on the scoreboard. Forced us to catch-up all night even in the second quarter when we were more than just competitive. In the third quarter we had the first two shots at goal (Simmo and Richo) and both went OOTF  :scream. Kick 'em and we would only have been less than a kick behind. Miss both and the Swans run it up the other end and go bang bang bang game over. It kills team spirit when you miss gettable goals. Rips the heart out of those further upfield busting their guts to win the footy.

If we were a confident team, we wouldn't have missed those shots.

If we had players that could kick we wouldn't have missed those shots.
You talk about confidence, what confidence would a team get if our senior players could kick straight?

From what I got to see on the idiot box which was all of a minute or so. So it really wasn't long, but I'm starting to think that it is time to rid ourselves of some of the lder players. And are some of the players playing for the jumper or the money. I don't know but it (what they showed) Tambling putting in no effort what so ever. I think he should be put back to VFL and stay there. Or even e delisted, even if he has resigned for 3 years, he's at best a VFL player.
I think that the jumper has lost some of what it's all about as I have seen no real passion to play for the jumper from some player so I think it's the money they are playing for.

tell ya what was funny to see! i big richo being continually outmuscled by a small bolton!

richo proved he has lost it, he is no long fit for this level, barry hall played a a smaller opponent too, and barry is playing injured but still had an impact,  richo must look at how barry keeps at it, 2nd, 3rd, 4th ....eforts always.

richo is a poor excuse now and shoudl hang up the boots, same goes for sugar, what a joke!

A big rumour on SEN late last night that Carlton want Whitnall, Lappin and Fev to join Kouta on the Blues past-players list at the end of the season. They want to off-load their older players and let the new coach start anew with the youngsters. Heath Scotland's name was also mentioned.

People are saying that the Blues are quite an attractive coaching prospect. You get rid of that experience, good or not, and they will be stuggling like us for a good while yet.
And you may not think I care for you

Heath Scotland is well worth his place in that side - we could have had him.

Plough has said postgame that the seniors players must take control of the team. Asked if they were playing for their futures - Plough said nice try for a headline.

Plough should pump the senior players out of the joint. I said it a long time back in here ... either he will get rid of them or they will get rid of him. Ploughs time is running out...Id suggest he asks 6 or 7 of his supposed senior players to pack there bags and pee off before he gets shown the door.
