Anyone rate Luke Casey-Leigh from Sandringham Dragons as a late pick or as a potential rookie?

197cm and held Kreuzer goalless a few weeks back and was named BOG today. In fact named BOG in 3 of his past 4 games. Just so happens to be the (step-?) son of Clinton Casey too.

Most likely played APS footy for majority of the season.

He's listed though as playing 16 (out of 18) TAC Cup games this year GB.

To begin with I'd say this person may have got confused here.  If you said "the Tigers 2nd pick" to me I'd think pick 17 but on that forum they seem to think we mean our 1st pick which is no. 2 in the draft.  :-\

According to Weaver on BF. .  .

16. Cyril 'Junior' Rioli (Rover / Wing / Small Fwd)

Has been viewed as the next-big-thing from NT for what seems like years. In Melbourne playing school footy on scholarship so might be quicker to adjust to the AFL scene than some of the rural kids. Great blood lines with every other champion Aboriginal star seemingly some sort of uncle. Genuine rover at only 178. Quick-ish, reasonable by foot. Superb balance and hands. Showed a lovely little bonus talent by getting amongst the goals with some nice left-foot finishing, although they were FF goals not cruming goals. He won't last too long on draft day.

I don't know, if he is head and shoulders above everyone else, you'd have to take him.

The bonus then is if their other young rucks turn out to be stars, then they have good bargaining options going into trade week to get a player that they do need in future.

I'd be wary of picking up kids from Division 2 states. The standard was poor this year.

1. Kreuzer
2. Cotchin
3. Morton
4. Masten
5. Palmer
6. Rioli
7. Rance
8. Meyers
9. McEvoy
10. Ebert
No Scott Selwood in the top 10 bluey? I would have him in the top 10 before Rioli. Apart from that hard to disagree with the rest. It would be great if we could trade and upgrade pick 18 or 19 up ten spots into the top 10.
