Caruso boys arent that much chop X, Nat was lucky to be back in the team for finals.

Neither of them will make it at AFL either.

caruso boys are better than the others that were mentioned and nat was far better in the finals than neville and sylvester, well he was shocking in the finals.

nat fort and joe were our better players over the final series

aflinsider.net's phantom draft has Silvester going around pick 67 which is our pick if we were to pass on the PSD or delist another player.

Someone on BF thought they saw him down at Punt Rd today.

Burgatron has the Kangas interested in Silvester at either pick 62 or 72  :-\. Hopefully he slips through to the rookie draft for us to pick up.

Do you think Rance slipping to 18 spells the end of Sylvester playing for the tiges? Do you think we may still rookie him?

The more talls the merrier IMO. Rance is young so having a ready-made key defender still makes sense and as a rookie he'd also be back-up in case anything happens to Thursty (touchwood let's hope not).

happy with this selection, adds another tall who can hold down a key defensive post, also relatively young 21/22 isn't he. he provides us with depth and gives Rance a greater opportunity to develop his body before being thrown straight into the seniors

We are suddenly well stocked for young KPPs at the club after going so long being too light on. Previously the pressure and expectations on our young talls has been too much, simply because we didn't have the depth so we absolutely needed them to succeed. Now we are finally being smart about it and adding depth so that there's competition for spots and if a bloke doesn't make it we're not dead in the water.

Silvestor adds that immediate competition for spots, keeping the pressure on Thursty and McGuane. With no Gaspar, Kellaway or Hall, we needed to ensure that we have enough options available to play in defence so that players didn't take their spot for granted.

Also continuing the good form of selecting a player from Coburg each draft. We are already seeing the results with a lot of talented kids coming to the Burgers now as they see a clear path to the AFL.

agree jez, who knows maybe this was exactly what was planned. Everyone thought the Hawkers way of buliding around the spine was the way to go and booed us for building around a midfield.

jury is still out but i think our midfield is gonna be an absolute corker in 2011 add a versatile unpredictable forwardline post richo and things look fantastic.

Good post jezza and spot on I'd think.

Also good to see the Coburg partnership continuing. Hopefully we get another Jake out of Jarred.

our midfield is certainly starting to get more skill and run but imo we are another inside mid short before calling it a "corker"
