Cotchin will bounce back. Taking the captaincy was always going to be a burden. Was no issue with him when we were 3-0.

Marc Murphy been very very quiet up until this week since being named Captain. It takes a while to settle in and deal with the burden of leading the side on and off field. Certainly a lot different then the part time role he had a few years back.

He'll bounce back. Just like Deledio will and Jack will. All good players go through poor patches. He's 22 and will have plently more lean patches in the next 10 years.

Go Tigers!

Would have to agree

Pope his disposal has been average this year and those dinky kicks have been around since Rd 1.

No chance for a brownlow this year and doesn't deserve one in the form he is showing so far

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Cotchin out

In a surprise revelation on Thursday, it emerged Cotchin has been battling a minor knee injury since suffering a hyperextension in the loss to Fremantle in round five, and the soreness was a factor in his poor kicking game last week.

It is the first time that one of Cotchin, Brett Deledio, Dustin Martin or Jack Riewoldt has missed a game through injury since 2010. Deledio will take over as skipper.

Cotchin was expected to miss just one game and be back for the match against Melbourne on Sunday week.

''It was probably a bit sore last week,'' football manager Dan Richardson said. ''He didn't cause any more damage to it at all, structurally it's sound, but we just decided it was best to rest him this week and make sure we get it right.''

Cotch was just on MMM with Lyon, Brayshaw and Frawley ...

* Positive week on the track despite a few injuries. An opportunity for others to step up. Looking forward to seeing Foley out there.

* At home. Didn't fly over so he could recover more quickly avoiding any flying and so he'll be right for next week.

* Walls article - disappointing as you don't like to hear your name in a bad light. Walls is entitled to his opinion. We take on board both positive and negative opinion but we know what we are doing within the 4 walls and the measures we judge ourselves on.

* Cotch and Newy retaliation incidents - you're in the game and you at times get frustrated with the game or the opposition. Cotch didn't think it was such a big deal but we need to make sure those things don't happen next time.

* Maric - not sure whether he is or isn't playing [Brayshaw told him he's playing]. Well there you go. The boys will be rapt he's playing.

* The beauty of the Australian Football is you play fit or carrying injuries. Cotch made the call that he was right to play. Not sure if you can blame his game last week on the knee or he just had one of those games. Admitted he was a bit fumbly which you can't blame on the knee and he admitted his kicking has been up to the standard he would like all season so far so you can't blame the knee for that either.

* Tucky - he knows the areas he needs to work on but you know he gives his all and works hard in the contests.

Had 33 against Carlton and was very good, 31 against Saints and 36 against the Dogs @ 70% efficiency.. He's getting the pill just execution is well down. Being a contested player anything above 75%+ is where you should be. So he's a little off but he's still getting the footy.

We were 3-0 can't recall anyone suggesting that it was a bad choice to give Cotchin the captaincy back then. 3 weeks after were very poor. Storm in a tea cup for mine.
