Needs a huge game.

Needs more protection from his midfield and a few more teammates to not just coast along expecting him to do everything.

Hardwick lauded the efforts of captain Trent Cotchin, arguably Richmond's only four-quarter player, the skipper finishing with 28 possessions and 11 clearances.

"His centre bounce work in the third and fourth quarter got us back into the contest. When we needed him to stand up and get us back in the game, he was one guy who led the charge, which was really impressive."

Trent should have buried some goals in the first half. But it shouldn't be Cotchins job to kick the goals, I don't understand on the 'midfield' spread rubbish. We pay Jack and Vickery big bucks to be forwards and kick goals, kick it to them like we did in the 2nd half FFS.
Go Tigers!

Cotchin was brilliant in the 2nd half and he got us back in the game but those early misses were poor no doubt.

Jackstar is back!!!

Captains kick goals
His effort  when running into goals 35m out and tries to pass to Jackson says enough

An Ablett, Watson, Selwood and I could go on would have nailed that goal. Don't get me wrong Trent plays his guts out for the team but sometimes in those key moments its like it all weighs too heavily on his shoulders and he has a brain explosion. Still seems to lack that out an out confidence of an AFL captain that the others mentioned have in spades.
