Cotch is the 4th most inexperienced captain in the league.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Presuming there is little other change, only Greater Western Sydney, Melbourne and Richmond (Trent Cotchin) will start 2015 with captains who have played fewer than 150 games.

Chaplin talking about Cotchin and his leadership:

“I think our skipper’s led by example,” Chaplin told SEN.

“He’s improved his fitness in that regard, but he’s demanding a lot of the other guys, and that’s what we asked of him.

“So he’s been fantastic this year . . . he’s had a big pre-season.”

RICHMOND captain Trent Cotchin missed training today with minor hamstring soreness.

The Tigers say the issue is not serious and expect him to play in the second or third week of the NAB Challenge.

Cotchin was among a number of senior Tigers who were not slated to play in the club’s opening match on Saturday.

i suppose we could say goodbye to our one win for this season then
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

“Trent has completed an excellent pre-season overall, and, like all our players, it’s about managing their workloads if they are managing some soreness,” said Richmond General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson.

“Our focus is to get our players ready to play in the early part of the season, and in Trent’s case, we’re confident he will get some game time in the pre-season challenge, and be ready for Round 1.”
