Forgot to say Denham on KB this morning mentioned a story out of left field where the Hawks allegedly tested the trade waters with Roughead but his family got wind of it and the Hawks had to promise to them that Roughead will never be traded. Interesting!

Imagine all the Hawk fans on BF reactions if Roughead ever ended up at Richmond via the PSD  :lol.

Trading places:
afl.com.au

Injuries to key big men highlighted the lack of depth in the Tigers’ ruck division which they appear likely to try and address over trade week. Ben Hudson and John Meesen want out of Adelaide but both appear headed elsewhere, while Steven King’s stocks rose considerably after a good Grand Final showing.

South Australians Danny Meyer and Jay Schulz were mentioned as possible parts of a deal when the Crows loomed as a trading partner and they may still find their way home in what figures to be an active trade week, with Eagle Mitch Morton also appealing to the Tigers.

Yeah on Sport927 it was suggested by their roving reporter Whitey (I think it is Chris but I'm not sure) that the Bulldogs were interested in one of the Hawks your forwards and it wasn't Franklin - prepared to deal their first round pick he suggested. McGuane said Roughhead? and Whitey said "yeah could be"

Now that would be funny :lol :rollin

Yeah heard that one too mjs.

Knights said Ayres would be leaving because he doesn't fit into the structure he is putting in place for 2008. Knights also said Dean Wallis was going as well.

Hmmm... all those quality folks at the Bombers are getting the flick  ;)

Seriously, not surprised by the Ayres thing but certainly was surprised when Knights said Wallis didn't fit into his plans and structure either.

Real question Jack not tryng to be a smart alec - is Wallis any good as an assistant?

Answer NO!
Anyway, he was gone four weeks ago.
Best mates with Harvey and was always going to Freo.
Gary Ayres runs a bottle shop in middle park and that takes up a fair bit of his time,

Now that Wallis is gone you will be able to go on the books Jack  :shh

Dont be surprised to see Chris Bond at Windy Hill next season as an assistant to Knighter.
