3aw saying from their sources Cousins will be:

1. Charged with a traffic offence.
2. Charged with carrying prescribed drugs without a prescription.
3. Charged with failure to take a blood test

The last one is the serious one if this is true.

If he does get the boot from the Eagles do you think anyone will take a chance on him? Huge upside but from what I've seen and heard you just can't beat drugs like ICE. They have a habbit of dragging everyone they touch down.

How much responsibility do the leaders at West Coast need to take about this situation.
Cousins' footy career is finished. If the Eagles don't sack him, the AFL will. West Coast has only got itself to blame. They ignored the problem for so long and now Cousins is finished and Judd has gone home.

Cousins charged with drug possession
9:11 PM Tue 16 October, 2007
with AAP

WEST Coast star Ben Cousins has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug, Western Australian police said on Tuesday night.

Cousins, 29, has also been charged with one count of failing to comply with a requirement to provide blood.

In a statement, police said they stopped Cousins' vehicle on Newcastle St, Perth around 11.30am (WST) after he came to their attention "due to the manner of his driving."

They allegedly found a quantity of prohibited drugs after searching the four-wheel drive vehicle.

The Eagles' midfielder was taken for questioning to the Traffic Enforcement Group headquarters in East Perth.

Police will allege Cousins failed to provide a sample of his blood for analysis.

West Coast said in a statement it would not comment until further briefed by police.

Cousins will appear in the Perth Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

Bye bye Ben.
A footballing tragedy and a club tragedy.
They have had pound for pound the most talented list in memory
and it is all unravelling awfully for them.
Juddy gone
Ben will be gone
Expect the self destruction to continue. West Coast complacency on this will set them back for years once this chapter of the Eagles 2007 odyssey is over. Kerr is no angel on the grog either. I think W Coast should have him under house arrest as if he gets in trouble well the poo will hit the fan harder than it is hitting the fan now.

P.S As a sidenote has a reigning premier ever before been in the news for all the wrong reasons as the Eagles have this year.

Ben Cousins charged with drug possession
October 16, 2007 - 4:00PM

Troubled AFL star Ben Cousins' footballing future is in grave doubt after he was charged with possessing a prohibited drug - six months after leaving rehab.

The 29-year-old West Coast Eagles midfielder was also charged with one count of failing to comply with a requirement to undergo a driver assessment.

He will appear in court on Thursday.

In the statement, police said they stopped Cousins' vehicle on Newcastle St, Perth around 11.30am (WST) after he came to their attention "due to the manner of his driving".

They allegedly found a quantity of prohibited drugs after searching the four-wheel drive vehicle. It was not specified what drug it was.

Just a sheer waste through self-destruction.

P.S As a sidenote has a reigning premier ever before been in the news for all the wrong reasons as the Eagles have this year.
Norm Smith getting sacked by Melbourne which followed Barassi crossing to Carlton would be the biggest one. The Dees haven't won a flag since.

Jezza getting the flick from Carlton after their '79 flag and heading to the Saints. It didn't affect the Blues long-term as they won back-to-back flags on the other side of our 1980 flag.

Wonder if the two girls in the car were police plants.
Seems no-one's talking about them, so you have to wonder who they are!

Cousins to Richmond via the PSD  :shh

Gawd, could you imagine the terms and conditions that would come with signing Ben!

No-one would take that risk if it meant losing draft picks, points or being heavily fined.
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

Seriously if u ppl really think Cousins and West Coast are the only ones ur all deluded.
This needs to all come out in the open and be treated with the harshest treatment possible, as the sport (not just AFL) will spiral into a drug induced farce.
Young kids just don't need to be faced with this as soon as they step into certain environments.
Can tell u for fact the NRL bury their heads in the sand big time.
Met a dude just recently who's young nephew has stepped up to first grade in the NRl at a club I wont mention (they have had their name bandied about a fair bit tho).
This dude was telling me how this kid had not even drank before he stepped foot there, but now is hanging around with these guys (That think they are and treated like superstars) and get away with murder from what I have heard.
Some of the stories u hear, u just lose all respect / admiration 4 what some of these ppl have achieved
These guys aren't run of the mill players either these are representing at the highest level.
With the whole Marion jones thing and recent comments from talbot proclaiming let them all cheat.
Gotta be merciless and banish these people for life and shun them when they are caught.
No sympathy, they know what they are doing and are only 'sorry' in the end cause they were caught.
By all means help them with their problem, but they have blown something they should have respected a bit more than some do.

he is a disgrace that bloke. i just wonder if it was didak or someone else from a melbourne club.
I really wonder if their team would be docked draft picks or points.
i think so.

demetriou u piece of poo do something or let me guess when r gonna get ur usual line.
"people who think drugs are a issue are delusional"

ur dilusional u effen idiot
