No started with AJ Burnett, but he was replaced in the 3rd after facing 8 batters in that innings and giving up 7 runs, Gomez pitched 4 innings, they are now onto their 4th pitcher top of the 8th, 9-1

Well it's only game 1 and they now head back to Pittsburgh so...

But yeah I had the Cards getting through to World Series, the Pirates won't trouble them

I thought game 2 was still at Busch then the following 2 are at PNC? Either way the Cards get 3 of the 5 at home so it will be really tough for the Pirates to get up.

You are correct tiga, game 2 is in St Louis

Games 3 & 4 (if required) are in Pittsburgh

Good old AJ Burnett  ::) ::)

The AJ I knew from his Yankees days turned up today, the horrible one. When he is bad his is worse than woeful & pathetic

Watched the 1st inning this morning before I left for work. Thought then he didn't look good, just didn't seem to have the control. Other thing with AJ and this will sound stupid but early in games if he is sweating heavily he is likely not going to be "on song".

LA & Atlanta palying now and the Dodgers are up 2-0 in the 3rd

Personally I thought they should have started with Locke. I know he gets a bit of a bad wrap but I reckon he would have done better than Burnett.

It's a pity Francisco Liriano can't pitch on a daily basis or we don't have multiple Liriano's  ;D

Mabye it's time for some cloning  ;D

Or come and support a real team like the Detroit Tiger's. I'm sure you would enjoy supporting the likes of Maxy Scherzer and Miguel Cabrera.  ;D  :gotigers

But, I may not be so cocky after tomorrow.  :lol

Watched the replay of their Wild Card game the other day, crowd was amazing - a sea of black and yellow  :thumbsup

Wont be away walking now

Besides I've already turfed one team this year  ;D

Near perfect game by rookie Gerritt Cole for the Vic's today

Pittsburgh take game 2

7-1 over St Louis

Series tied 1-1

Ditto Atlanta and the Dodgers. Back to LA for game 3

Boston thumped Tampa Bay 12-2

Detroit far too good for Oakland. Won 3-2

Yep, but rookie Sonny Gray was the hero with 8 scoreless innings

Fantastic comeback from the Pirates, I hate the Cards  ;D
