Not Rance's finest game.

That qtr across the ground kick was a killer

Not sure about Rance at the moment, yes he is an AA defender but lately I just see in his body language that being the elite player he is may have finally gone to his head. Always appearing to be of a laconic nature and the joker at training etc. I just wonder whether the big bucks and the feeling of being one of the first picked in the team does eventually with some players take the edge of their performance. I hope I am wrong and he bounces back from one of his few bad games of recent times but just have a feeling that he along with some of his teammates are well off the pace at the moment.

As a side note you have to wonder what we have done during our pre season to have so many players appearing to be out of touch. Our tactic of playing fringe players in our very first pre season hit out also doesn't sit right for me. Given our slow start to just about every season you would have to think that we would have attempted to change things up pre season to try and overcome this but instead its another groundhog day.

He signed the big contract whilst blinded by the Richmond propaganda machine.
Like us all, he also was expecting the promised "big fish" and he thought it a priority that we had a decent replacement for the aging Chaplin & Maric.
But again like all of us, when he looks around him to what has been, what's current and what's ahead in the future, he has realised he has sealed his own fate and will NEVER see a premiership and possibly NEVER win a final.
The club that keeps giving.

The whole backline was under pressure when Grimes went down and Astbury went off for about 10 minutes with a hand injury they got a run on. Lack of rotations after Grimes went off really hurt us. They were spent late in the last and that was the major contributor to the turnovers and lack or run. Really evident at the ground.

This is why we needed someone like Henderson. Swing man. Should have traded Griffiths and a pick for Henderson. Play Henderson fwd and if a defender goes down Henderson goes back.

If even half our list could play to the standard of Rance's poor game last night we probably would have won

You seem to rate Callum Moore, Dioc.
What do you see in him?

Good mark, gets to the right positions, good size, plays both ends...only knock a touch of John Butcher in front of goal- but a decent field kick...still very raw though ....probably still a year or two away...

Fair enough. Hopefully he comes on.
