Will probably go down as our greatest ever backmen. I can't recall anyone else ever having an opposition team having to plan specifically for dealing with a backman.

He’s a great backman, one of the top few of his generation and one of our best in my lifetime but he has some way to go before being considered the greatest.
His last game had his colours lowered in a prelim, I’m looking to see a response tonight and then most importantly next Thursday night.

He was amazing in the 2017 GF. He pretty much had to repel the entire Crows forward line at times and he also made Tex Walker his little bitch. I hope he recaptures that form this year

In fairness to him in the prelim final it was the entire defense/midfield which failed.

If you allow mason cox space to lead into there is not a defender in the league that can stop him taking the mark given his height. You saw the next week how the eagles blocked his space so they were able to spoil from the front or the collingwood players were forced to kick it on his head where the defenders could again easily spoil.

Who could ever forget his herculean effort against Sydney in Sydney when we had to win the last game to make finals. He was like an impenetrable wall! Unbelievable.

BT interviewed Balmey who said they don't know yet but it doesn't appear to be good news and there's the possibility of an ACL problem. Balmey expects Rance to have the scans tonight.
