Pleasing to see Hughes and schulz among the goals on Friday.

Stick with it Terry!
Agree Magic. Have faith in Clever leading out of FF Terry and give him a number of games in a row. Play Richo on a HFF.

Yes off the bench as a pinch hitter depending how the game is going. Will also extend his time in the game and give Hughes and Schulz or Polak time to develop before he is no longer with us.

Half forward flank or wing should be the next step for Richo. I mentioned this on another site but Richo has only eyes for the ball. He isn't malicious or intentionally selfish but he is holding back the progree of our young forwards, our forwardline and most importantly our team.

When was the last time you saw Richo screen/block for another forward?

When was the last time you saw Richo lead away from the ball to create space for the other forwards to lead into?

When was the last time you saw Richo pull out of marking contest or deviate from a lead when he saw another forward in a better position?

When did you ever see Richo apologising to a midfielder for leading to the wrong place or asking for the ball when other forwards were in a better position?

If Richo played across the F50 or up the wing he could utilise his greatest strengths - his pace, his size and his unparalleled marking ability to act as a link up player. Also playing in this area guarantees Richo will kick from long range when shotting for goal - his most accurate distance.

We need to start spreading the goalkicking around, we need to start becoming more unpredictable and we need to start developing a forward team rather than just a forward player.

If Richo is moved out of the forwardline then our midfielders are forced to look for the best option.

Sooner or later Richo will be gone and we will be forced to make this change regardless.

Why not start our future now!?

Stripes that is 100% right. :clapping
One thing i could add to your comments is, there is no point in having these young potential FF, without giving them a go. Richo on a wing or of the Bench, could become a mentor for them in his last few years.
Instead of trying to win games of his two left feet. :lol :banghead

Great post stripes. You have nailed it.

Richardson has been a great player for the Tiger no doubt but there are major flaws to his game that most one eyed Tigers aren't prepared to acknowledge.

Give the kids(Schulz 22, Hughes 21) a go now.
if they can't do it this season then it's unlikely they ever will.
If that's the case then we are still stuffed when Richo retires anyway but at least we won't die wondering.
Might as well usher them in whilst he can still contribute.

Absolutely nothing to lose on the back of a wooden spoon.

As long as we kick 17 goals from nearly 30 shots our forward line structure won't change even if Richo on a lead is a bit like a bull in a china shop.

The semi concern in our forward line at the minute seems to be Browny's form. He's had a relatively quiet preseason in the trail matches from the match reports :-\.

I thought about this and couldn't think of any Richmond supporter, one eyed or not, who isn't prepared to acknowledge there are major flaws in his game.

Some bag him mercilessly for it, others enjoy his attributes instead.
