Hi Everyone.

One-Eyed emailed me thru the week to ask if this week we'd be doing "Ask the Coach". (like last year)

Sadly it won't be this week as we go to air at 1pm and the Bounce Down is Ten minutes later.

However (SCOOP) we hope to have it next week at the CURTAIN RAISER at the MCG.

I've made contact with the Coburg Football Club, and if we get a favourable response from Jade Rawlings, then I will pre-record during the week a chat with Jade based on YOUR questions.

So as soon as we get (hopefully) the thumbs up - I'll post an "Ask the VFL Coach" thread for you here on this site.

Mind you I must say I'm excited at getting the chance to call a game at the MCG :) (10am start next saturday)

I'll also be following JONs game closely tomorrow. We need to make sure we find out as a club if this boy can play or not.

Polo on the pine?  I wonder if that's a pointed message to him or if they have just chucked the names on a piece of paper?  I'll be honest - I thought he would have been pressing for the seniors again after going back for a couple for games.  His performances with Coburg don't seem to have exactly set the world on fire.
There's 8 on the bench so Deano might not even play yet  :-\. You've got to wonder if his shoulder is still causing him grief or if he just needs to lift his game big time and find some heart.

Cheers for letting us know Peter. All the best with the commentary of the game at the 'G and fingers crossed the interview with Rawlings goes ahead   :).

It was sunny here before but it's overcast now.

Polo, Cogs and Gus on the bench with McErlain. Cogs wearing #78.

15 RFC players - Polak, Cotchin, Bowden, Polo, Petts, Rance, Cogs, Schulz, JON, Tivs, Hughes, Silvester, Cartledge, Connors, Graham. Pies have 13 Collingwood players including Goldsack.

A bit soft in the middle of the ground but overall ground in good nick.

Rawlings - break came at a good time as it gave us a chance to refresh. We came from behind against Box Hill so we don't see that as a problem. Adopting Richmond's gamestyle at Coburg. A good mix of Coburg and Richmond players.

No breeze.

Cartledge free outside 50 and nice pass to Cleve on the lead on 55 degrees. Point.

Petts looks to be playing on ball. Cartledge in ruck. Connors in the wing. Polak up forward and Schulz at CHB.

1 - 7. Poor chase by Connors.

LOL @ JON  :rollin. Ran down the ground well then didn't know what to with it getting himself into trouble and kicked a grubba out on the bounds (not on the full). Cartledge then got a free from the throw in and kicked it into the man on the mark.

Joel now has a 50m and kicks a goal.

7 - 7

Fair chance that's rehearsing for next week.

Good intercept by Connors out of the middle but he turns it over and the Pies run it up the ground for a goal.

We're winning it out of the middle. Joel marks. Touched.
