Thursfield earmarked for Fev

IF Will Thursfield gets through a fitness test, he will face an even bigger challenge on Saturday: an on-fire Brendan Fevola.
Speaking at Punt Road today, Richmond coach Terry Wallace said Thursfield was expected to be available for the game, after missing two weeks with a hamstring injury.
If he is, the young Tiger defender will likely get the job on Fevola, who has kicked 15 goals in the past two weeks. But Wallace said the final decision wouldn’t be made until later this week.
“Obviously Kel Moore would be a very good chance, but if Will plays, Will’s always played full back, that’s his role and responsibility in the side, so he’d obviously be the one,” Wallace said.
He named Joel Bowden as another option to tackle Fevola. Bowden had an impressive 39 possessions and 23 marks in Saturday’s four-point win against Port Adelaide.
Wallace said the team faced some “interesting selection situations” this week, with the possibility of skipper Kane Johnson, Thursfield, Jacob King and Daniel Jackson all returning to the side.
“You’ve got four blokes all coming back from injury with a week’s break the following week – do you play four of them? They’re all desperate to put up their hands obviously because of the game that it is.
“Do you play four of them? Do you play two of them? That will be determined as the week marches on.”
