fev played and kicked 2.2

ill be happy with a moore/bowden match up for fev.

IMO Moore is the most improved player on our list this year
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

I agree Daniel. Kel is going great guns. I can now see why the coaching staff have put so much faith in him especially when others were wanting him delisted. He will be our version of Dustin Fletcher!  :thumbsup

Thursfield played on Fev in round 1. Fev tried to hurt him at every opportunity. Will kept getting back up and did a good job. If he's fit he should get the job again.

Ch 10 news said Thursty, Sugar and Jacko are ready to come in.

Wallace was less definite today...

"We have got some interesting selection situations this week because we have got four blokes coming back from injury (Thursfield, Johnson, King and Jackson) but with a week's break the following week," Wallace said.

"So do you play all four of them or do you just play two of them - that will be determined as the week progresses."

Apart from the Captain who I think we've missed leadership wise

I'd make all of them come back via Coburg.

The only forced change is McGuane and he should be replaced by Schulz.

What do we do? Who do you drop?

Just because Jacko is available does that mean you have to drop Polo or Hyde. Do they deserve to be dropped. Based on their performances last week - NO

Bring back King for who?  McMahon - don't' think so his 2nd half in particular was very good

Thursfield? Hmm do you take the risk in such a big game with someone coming back from a hammy

So many question - which is good. Means the depth is finally there

Seems Jacko is more certain than Sugar going by what Terry said today. I wouldn't drop Hyde or Polo either WP based on their game against Port.

I'd stick with two changes. 4 players coming back from injury is too great a risk IMO.
In: Thursty, Sugar (if he's not right then Jacko)
Out: McGuane (inj), JON.

Thursfield earmarked for Fev
Rachel Hewitt with AAP | June 24, 2008 03:00pm

IF Will Thursfield gets through a fitness test, he will face an even bigger challenge on Saturday: an on-fire Brendan Fevola.

Speaking at Punt Road today, Richmond coach Terry Wallace said Thursfield was expected to be available for the game, after missing two weeks with a hamstring injury.

If he is, the young Tiger defender will likely get the job on Fevola, who has kicked 15 goals in the past two weeks. But Wallace said the final decision wouldn’t be made until later this week.

“Obviously Kel Moore would be a very good chance, but if Will plays, Will’s always played full back, that’s his role and responsibility in the side, so he’d obviously be the one,” Wallace said.

He named Joel Bowden as another option to tackle Fevola. Bowden had an impressive 39 possessions and 23 marks in Saturday’s four-point win against Port Adelaide.

Wallace said the team faced some “interesting selection situations” this week, with the possibility of skipper Kane Johnson, Thursfield, Jacob King and Daniel Jackson all returning to the side.

“You’ve got four blokes all coming back from injury with a week’s break the following week – do you play four of them? They’re all desperate to put up their hands obviously because of the game that it is.

“Do you play four of them? Do you play two of them? That will be determined as the week marches on.”
