He was a legend - i vividly remember him tearing the hawks apart on a fri nite at the g when they were at their imperious best.
Unfortunately for him, father time and his reluctance to be part of the new culture at the club led to a mutual parting of the ways.
In short, he was not as prepared as say a Trent Cotchin to overhaul his own game in a way that would benefit the team.
On that basis, he probably still goes … even if fit and healthy.
It’s happened before and will happen again - great players leave and the club they leave go on to win flags - can think of a half dozen of the top of my head.
Shame because he was the first of the crop post the fab 4 of the 90’s to emerge for us. Loved him.
