Disgraceful mistake by an umpire that appeared to have a serious attitudinal issue early on in the game.  Won't get past the video review, probably won't even make it that far.  Commentators laughed at it.

Hawthorn player was lying over the Richmond player trying to get up from a pack.  Simmonds went in and pushed him backwards (from front on) in the upper chest/shoulder region which he is quite entitled to do in order to keep play moving our way.  The Hawthorn player looked as surprised as anyone and the umpire just made himself look like an absolute fool.

Spot on Bill. Nichols deserves 10 weeks for this report.
Bugger it, give him life.
Surely the AFL is embarrassed by this sort of MAGGOT bringing the game into DISREPUTE.

Simmo report thrown out
« Reply #9 on: August 18, 2008, 05:14:07 PM »
It's been thrown out.

The match day report against Richmond's Troy Simmonds for engaging in rough conduct against Hawthorn's Tom Murphy was assessed. It was the view of the panel that Simmonds' action was neither a bump and nor was the contact forceful. No further action was required.

Geischen the turd should bench idiot, egotistical umpires at quarters end, possibly for the rest of the game.

Why don't they introduce a system such as this?

Cause then they will have to pay the interchange maggots match payments when they do eventually come onto the ground for a period of time whilst the  umpire who started the game on the ground officiating goes to the bench to get a flogging from the umpiring coach for being an idiot.

Joke of a report and rightly didn't see the light of day.

It's all the rules committee and Geischen's fault. How the game is umpired is farcical at times. Richo got robbed of a win last year due to that stupid strict hands in the back "interpretation" and now it doesn't get paid at all. Well is it a rule or not for heaven's sake?!  ::)
