With two rounds to go in the home and away season, how would you rate the Tigers' performance in 2008?

I honestly thought that we would be in the finals. I know that we still stand a chance to do it. But I was thining about positio 5 or there abouts. So I have to say that I'm a little dissapointed. But I wouldn't want to give back any of our wins. But at least we are now starting to show something that has been missing like a full game. So lets hope this trend continued for the reast of this year. And then in 09 come out swinging.   :gotigers

I think I predicted around 10 - 14 th and with a bit of luck a tad higher, could of pushed for the 8.

We didn't make our own luck re: Bulldogs and Saints, those games especially the Doggies game  :banghead need I say more.

Where I really would of hoped us to be at the least and therefore just about spot on if not a bit better than I expected.

2009 RFC & TW Finals or bust

Probably the best rise on the ladder for a wooden spooner since Brisbane in 1998(?) so that shows it's been an impressive improvement.

Still frustrating coming so close to finals and probably going to miss out but overall it's been a good improvement on last year.

I am happy with what we've achieved in the sense that I thought we'd finish somewhere between 11th and if we were lucky 8th. We are going to hit that target. Dreamed of finals but I do that every year ;D

We were wooden spooners last year and to go from 3.5 wins to a possible 11.5 wins in a season is improvement. No "ifs, buts or maybes"

It is a tad disappointing to realise that if we had won those 2 games (Dogs & saints) we'd be a monty for the finals but I'll cop that.

Most pleasing thing is we've seen the kids come on and there will be new batch of them in 2009

No doubt this year has been pretty good. :thumbsup
Did not expect to make finals although if we do, it would be like giving blood to a wild animal, our young blokes will get a taste and be craving more and do better next year. I think that will be the ultimate result if it happens.
On a negitive our skills and decision making has been our biggest problem something urgent needs to be done to fix this problem for next year.

Have we improved from this time last year?? Yes

Have our kids improved? Yes out of sight(Moore and lids-Most improved without a doubt)

Have our skills improved? No

I will take my hat off to Wallace and all associated with us when we make the finals.

sorry but 9th doesn't cut it for me.

So from wooden spoon to finals contenders in 12 months isn't good enough for you?
No wonder you're such an angry man

i wont be celebrating until we make the finals. Simple as that.

is 9th spot better than a wooden spoon yes of course it is captain obvious, but i didn't compare it to a wooden spoon now did i.

Yes, but we are talking about expectations for THIS YEAR
Of course 9th isn't good enough, but for the reigning wooden spooners to possibly still be playing finals is a very good performance.
No one is happy with 9th, but a little perspective please

Improvement shown this year will mean nothing unless we make finals next year with all the young kids in the side now.
