True, though if we were 4-4 or 5-3 we'd easy have 40k ticketed.

It's round 8 and we've only had 3 home games. (2 interstate, 1 at Geelong)
Good figures I think.

Even if we finish last this year, with a new coach and good draft picks, we will see our membership increase in 2010.

Nonsense, we got rid of Terry, we are trying the kids out and we are doing an extensive search for a new coach

And that's not to mention a MCG sized facility at Cragieburn and a Docklands sized ground at Punt Road and new facilities.

We are heading for some high draft picks and...

I'm feeling good about the future.

 :thumbsup

The club from the President and the coach down sold hope that we were ready for a tilt for finals this year.

The year brought a lot of hope and every single person that works at the club - on or off field - should burn inside with embarrassment at what we have dished up.

I also feel optimistic about the future but this year has been an absolute disgrace.

I hope the club is not as apathetic as you about another year of failure 'cause it will just happen again and again.

You've got to hand it to the 600 hardcore supporters who signed up since the last update despite the disaster of a year :clapping.

You'd expect the club to have more modest expectations next year. It's going to be a tough year with what will be probably the youngest list in the AFL.

I heard the Pies advertising on the radio their 3-game $75 ticketed membership today. It this sort of thing that makes a mockery of these membership tallies while we can't include our $76 non-ticketed membership in our official AFL tally.

For the fifth consecutive year, Richmond Football Club has officially broken its membership record.

At yesterday’s AFL cut-off date for the counting of memberships, the Tigers had secured 36,985 match-day members, eclipsing last year’s tally by the considerable margin of 6,165.

A total of 9,221 Richmond fans also signed up for non match-day members this year, an increase of 13 per cent.

Since 2000, the Club has grown its membership base by more than 10,000.

Fans can still become members of Richmond Football Club, however those who purchase from this point on will not have access to finals tickets and will not be part of the official 2009 tally. For more information, contact the membership department on 1300 136 605 or visit the membership page on the RFC web site.

Smart idea but I wonder if these $1 Hawk memberships are counted as ticketed  ::)

Quote
HAWTHORN has been at the forefront of building its membership base and this year created an AFL record with the highest membership tally.
Now a new innovation sees the Hawks offering $1 memberships.
This week they will send out the $1 offers for their final three home games this season.
The offer is available to about 3500 members from 2008 who have not signed this season.
The catch is that those taking up the $1 deal must sign on for a 2010 package.
Hawthorn's 2009 membership hovers at almost 53,000.
